It’s one thing to give your own account or support someone else’s but to speak on their behalf when they haven’t said anything publicly is going too far. They didn’t even come forward when she was sued.

In my experience there is a huge problem of men assaulting other men and preying on young boys in LA. A huge contributing factor is speed.
I think the crux here is nobody has made an accusation publicly to stand behind.
What’s next? “You didn’t sing loudly enough, or with enough gravitas, so you’re suspended!”
“Freedom of Speech...just watch what you say”
Assault with a deadly weapon considering that fecal matter has e. coli in it.
There is some “Dear Leader” level of bullshit going on in this country.
Thisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Thank you for so beautifully writing out the feelings that I have had about this whole situation. I too, was molested as a kid by an older cousin-and later a teacher from our community who did theatre with me- and it took me years to reconcile those experiences (and to be honest, I’m still trying to deal with them…
Yeah, if there somehow isn’t a statutory consideration for this as far as harming another person, I’d be pretty surprised. It’s important to write laws with enough specificity to not have weird legal knock on effects, but if they are getting so narrowly written they amount to “Greg sucks and we don’t have to listen to…
I had to read the headline several times there, my brain kept trying to read GOP Congressman calls Black Abortion Rights Activist ignorant.
At the end of the day, what she said was ignorant. Also, he didn’t call her “ignorant” - that would imply a final judgment of her character. He implied that she was ignorant about the importance of Medicaid and the right to choose in poor communities. And clearly, she is. As a general rule, white men should not be…
The enemy of either wing is it’s opposite. Either side has to be find a balance that will get the base and wing to show up for them but also win over a a majority of independents. Independents swing elections far more often than the wing of any party.
I have no idea, but if this is one of those state, then hell yes.
The political enemy of the progressive is the conservative Republican, not the moderate Democrat.
Is ‘assault with bodily fluids’ a thing? In some states it can count as a weapon.
I’ve just been avoiding Starbucks because their coffee is the worst-tasting in existence, which is saying something because all coffee is disgusting (Biggby is a close 2nd in terms of disgustingness). I’m 100% sure it’s caused by the ingredients thermally decomposing due to sitting in water that’s clearly been heated…
Well there’s the thing, I’m not sure about the definition of a weapon legally speaking, but certainly with all the concerns of the dangers of biological agents in terrorism it seems like there would be some statute somewhere about unsanitary/unhygienic conditions and dangerous bacteria.
To provide an update. The charges were increased to include hate crime due to bias or bigotry. The case was upgraded from community to superior court.
Yeah, especially since she got sick from the bacteria. Which also makes the “I didn’t really wipe my snatch and ass on her toothbrush” sound like a lie. As gross and stanky as a period blood backpack is, it’s not going to cause sore throats.
