I can honestly say that my 1991 Daihatsu Charade feels faster to 60. No joking. Hmm.... I need to test this....

Years ago I worked at a Kia dealership that had just gotten a nitrogen machine. All the new cars that were delivered had nitrogen filled into the tires, and a cute little sticker placed on the window. The dealer would then add the “price” of this service to the sticker of the car. It was around $70 if I recall…
“I’ll never buy a car with an automatic, especially not a CVT” Current daily is a 2017 Subaru Outback. I always had a small car, except a 2.5 year stint with a ‘94 Mustang GT, but other than that, VW Beetle, MINI Cooper, Mazda2, Ford Fiesta ST. I dunno what it was that made me wanna get rid of my ST- actually I do,…
Safe travels to you and the team! Maybe bring a pillow to add some cushion? Don’t wanna break your coccyx at the dunes like grandma did in Napoleon Dynamite.
I’ve wanted to own a rotary powered Mazda since the late 90's. I have unfortunately never pulled the trigger, but I will some day. I even wrote a paper in college on the history of the motor much to the dismay of my English professor who let us choose any topic to write about. I got an “A” on the paper with the phrase…
I’ve heard of this event before, it would be fun to participate provided I had the right car for the job. Even still, I wonder what records I could set there with my Daihatsu.
I went to Long Beach the last two years and the atmosphere is amazing!
Honestly, if he were to jump to Indy Car he would have a legitimate shot at winning races- and that’s what he wants. He has the speed, he has the skill. He would dominate most of the races. For what he accomplished as a rookie at Indy was pretty damn impressive.
Truly a sad day. A former co worker owned one. He bought it after owning a 2005 Pontiac GTO so he was all about those Holden’s. The few times I rode in it I was impressed for what you got for the money. Yeah, it was expensive for the brand, but it sold to those that wanted it and could afford it. As for a replacement,…
This led to an afternoon of looking up videos from auto shows in the early 90's on YouTube. Needless to say, my afternoon was well spent. I also think I need MORE teal in my life. If the 90's were a color, it’d be teal.
$999.00 for a “Premium Comfort and Sound Package” what the hell did that consist of besides about a quarter of the total price? ..... I’d still buy it.
This is going to be truly exciting. The great news is that he’s going to attempt the triple crown and I believe he will obtain it. Who else thinks that Jenson Button got a call a few days ago asking about what he had planed Memorial Day weekend?
I mean, at very least, keep the Civic. I’m sure it would have had to been paid off. Maybe part two of the commercial could have been her parents setting it up for autocross, then the whole family is involved a few years later, then boom that little girl has grown into a driver in a Honda-powered Indy car. I guess the…
The older brother that my Charade found out about when it turned 18!
I’m gonna print out a picture of a Twingo, frame it, and place it next to my desk at work to help me get through the day. It’s so happy!
“Cherry Blossom Red” a la STi.
You guys need to get someone down there to interview Jordan Cox. The man needs to know that he is the heart-throb to all underdogs. I think he deserves a sticker too.
I like it. It does look similar to the competition to a degree, but it works. I think that Land Rover had to move away from the boxes and wheels image to stay current, yet there is still enough quirk to justify the design departure. Its nice to see the asymmetrical rear lift gate keep its place for example. I think…
This is true of all modern cars except the Ford Fiesta ST. As a former owner of one, it was a little concerning to take mine to a track day and know that if I went off into a gravel trap or worse, the marshals would have to use inventive methods to remove the car.
Well, time to convince the Mrs. that it’s time to visit Virginia for the historical sites and the place where I would like my ashes spread.
