What’s even the point of it now, given the Sport exists, comes in a stick and hatch, and is only 20 hp down on this thing? On the dumb decision meter this is somewhere between not offering the Si in hatchback form and not offering the hatch with a 1.5 and a stick in colors that aren’t.

Corvettes don’t have a manual...

They’re both exactly what they need to be to continue existing. Which is perfectly fine. Adding a turbo to the 86 would push the cost out of affordability for the target audience. As Jason Cammisa said, the 86 is the perfect spiritual successor the Porsche 944. As for the Z, it’s a great throwback on a tried and true

Toyota wins because they fixed things that needed fixing without ruining a single thing everybody has loved about the car for 8yrs - at the “cost” of 50-ish pounds and a few extra bucks over the last one.

In the age of SUVs and crossovers, more rear wheel drive sportscars can never be a bad thing.

I’ll take the Z over the Toyota. But I ‘ll take the Integra Type-S as well, if they make one with decent power.

Same I was iffy on the yellow but the  silver version that was leaked is gorgeous. The blue I do agree as well fits the car

We kept seeing the yellow car with the black details. I liked it, but the front end was always slightly weird to me. Not bad by any means, just something that stood out in a way I wasn’t expecting.

I always felt they should have just went back to 300Z.  It's the displacement after all. But the marketing dept poo-poo'd that I'm sure, cuz it's a lower #.   As if that makes any difference.

Just perfectly done

As a fellow ass-appreciator, I couldn’t agree more. Could have been easy to screw it up but they did a perfect job integrating those tail lights.

They left off an important figure: what does it WEIGH? The outgoing 370z is 3400+, I’m worried this is going to be up over 3500 with the twin turbo power plant, which will be a significant downside vs the Supra. Hopefully they managed to shave some weight from the chassis and I’m wrong, because it looks great and has

The ass of this thing is just fantastic, gorgeous.

And the Civic Si. Never even been able to get it with anything but a manual.

Really the only constants in the manual universe are the Subaru WRX and the Mazda MX-5.”

Can has new STI hatchback? Pretty please?

Manual is great. Hatch or die though.

Now we’ll finally get to see if the “It’s a Jeep thing. You Wouldn’t Understand” defense will stand up in court.
