I trust that the folks getting a stimulus check are not the ones who are purchasing this vehicle...

There are so many ‘thinking practical’ responses on this thread that it makes me question who the real Jalops are...

I got my motorcycle endorsement at 20 and rode (Suzuki RF600, Honda Shadow 750 and CBR 600F4i) and raced (F4i, Honda NSR) up until my daughter was born in 2009. I haven’t been on a motorcycle since... and I’ve really been getting itch the last few months.

I’d totally work there. :)

He was the initial beta tester of Tesla’s Autopilot... though back then it was called Autø Piløt.

I agree to an extent, I think there should be a balance between the two. I have never liked working from home even though I’ve had the ability to do so one day a week. Instead I’ve dealt with ~58 miles of traffic every day to venture into the office.

I work in the retail electricity industry, have for all 18 years of my post-college career, and yes we are seeing fairly significant load shift over the past week. We’re seeing slightly reduced load in the commercial/industrial sector and more significant reductions in the small business category... and you guessed

Back in 1994 when my sister left for college my parents were searching for a car for her to commute to and from school. They found a mint Eagle wagon, it was light blue with dark blue paint along the bottom... I remember thinking it was amazing. She flat out refused to drive it and instead opted for a cheaper 1986 Mazd

Congrats on the Niner, one of my best friends has an RLT and runs two different sets of wheels, one for road and one for gravel. It’s a super versatile bike.

“Both are well stylized...?

Wow, you escalated that something fierce! If that’s how you respond to everything you don’t agree with then I suggest your rethink some of your life choices. (hugs and kisses!)

Between the Avalon’s horrible dashboard and grille, I don’t get how anyone would consider it over the Camry... but to each their own!

Well of course the aftermarket clutch made it worse, but even with a stock clutch (in a Sentra SE-R, Frontier V6, Audi A4 or stock Mustang) sitting in bumper to bumper traffic with a manual gets tiresome when you do it for 20-40 minutes a day... twice a day... 5 days a week.

Try sitting in bumper to bumper for 20-40 minutes everyday and not shifting out of 2nd gear that whole time... I did it for over 8 years. It gets old fast, especially if you’re driving a boosted Mustang with a Stage 2 clutch.

Same here, but I went auto in 2013 after 17 years of only owning manuals. I’m currently shopping for a new car and am struggling with the decision of auto vs. manual. The driver in me really wants a manual but dealing with ~60 miles of Houston traffic daily (and the fact that my wife won’t drive manual) have me

I don’t find it ridiculous at all... Honda prices it at the point in which people will pay for it. I’d pay a premium for a Honda product over a similar Subaru product and I’m probably not in the minority on that one. Based on sales volumes of Civics, I’d say they know their stuff.

Is that really a unicorn type job... seems like me and my entire department have those luxuries.

That’s the biggest issue I see... and not only from a size standpoint. I live in a fairly nice neighborhood and on my street of 18 houses, there are only THREE of us who park our vehicles in the garages. Fortunately our street doesn’t have many who park on the street, but rather in their driveways. That being said,

This might be the most definitive crack pipe ever offered up in this wonderful column... I can’t see any way shape or form that this is a good idea anywhere NEAR this price point. Heck, even at $10k - $12k I’d be super leery.
