I think it would be interesting to try driving with only 3 hp in a modern car. I actually have a 392 Charger, and am tempted to try it in a parking lot.

I have been fortunate to not have a car stolen, but would agree to that idea for my daily driver (which, coincidentally, is a 392 Charger) or my wife’s daily driver. That said, I have a Porsche 914 and 944 Turbo that I would be devastated if they were to be stolen and lost forever.
I actually found the Ram dial to work pretty well. I never had an issue with a traditional floor or column shifter, but since everything is now by wire setups, the smaller packaging is fine for me.
Agreed, though I have no idea why GMC is using the AT4 name for this if they were trying to use it for their other offerings to align with the z71/Trail Boss Chevy counterparts.
I would recommend checking out PMB - they’re not some podunk shop doing mediocre work.
Why would the engine be on if the jeep was being towed? The rpm was strictly a result of the mechanical force being applied to the engine.
It is technically a very low mileage “classic” car. I honestly don’t even know how to evaluate it. It’s a great example of a car for 11 grand, and in its condition, shouldn’t be valued at a typical ‘beater’ price. On the other hand, I have no idea if there is the demand for this at the asking price.
You’ll have back registration fees. No idea what they would be, but those on top of 5 grand for a beat up Vega is a hard pass.
A Cosworth Vega is rare and interesting - this one is pretty rough for the price, even if it is rare. Plus, for those of us in California, the registration could be a pretty big ticket item for an expensive and underwhelming classic. 1976 would also be an issue, too.
I am in agreement. None of the ‘mods’ seem detrimental and can be easily fixed with the oem parts that come with the car. I would have to swap the cat back in because I would be subject to California smog checks, but I imagine that the catless setup and the v12 sounds fantastic. The wheels are an interesting choice…
I generally agree that their V8s are good, but the ones that had their active fuel management systems I guess were known for problems.
When these were new, I preferred the faster 350z for a fun modern sports car. But over the years, the nimble and high strung nature of the s2000 has really appealed to me. The issue is that that appeal has also grown for others, such that I have a hard time justifying the price. Some S2000s, especially the AP2s,…
I have an LG fridge and dealt with the coils frosting up many times. The last repair though seems to have held up for awhile *knocks on wood*
The Aztek was truly ahead of its time. That said, the GM build quality is the biggest issue.
The fact it’s designed to give a “Z” makes it acceptable to me.
I agree with the general comment about SUVs, but that sentiment applies to the broad range of SUVs. At the end of the day, someone buying 20+ year old Jeeps are more likely to off-roading than someone buying a new Blazer.
My best friend from high school’s mom had one. The exterior isn’t very good looking (especially compared to the SC300/400 before it), but the interior was great. It was a plush touring car.
Given the stigma of minivans, it’s clear that they’re function over form. I’m glad to see that brands are providing a renewed interest in style for a minivan (and I actually do think the Sienna looks okay), but the market is all about function. I imagine that Kia may offer a hybrid in the future; both Honda and Kia…
I would argue that the 5.0 v8 for the IS500 might be more exciting than the turbo engines for the M340i and C43, and even potentially the new TLX Type S. The Lexus V8 is pretty fantastic in its other applications, such as the LC500, so I’m excited to see how it fairs. I do think the exterior redesign of IS looks…
Agreed. The Kia looks really sharp, especially for a minivan, but the mpg with the new hybrid Sienna certainly would help to elevate its ranking for potential buyers.
