I don’t recall if the 2500 had beefed-up brakes or not, but the system seemed undersized for the 1500s. New front pads were a somewhat frequent replacement item on ours, and I knew others with the same issue. That said, the rest of the drivetrain was pretty good. Everything else had their moments of frustration, but I

As finicky as my old GMT400 Suburban was, I still love that generation and  want another one. If this thing was close to me, my wife would be wondering why $2,500 was taken from the bank account.

I would normally agree with you on GM leather seats, but those seats seem to be in really good shape.

I must have been lucky. I had a ‘99 4x4 1500 Suburban and it would get 18 mpg unless I was driving like an a-hole. For as big of a truck as it was, it did reasonably well on gas.

I always wonder where people get the cross shop concept that the full size can be had for the same as a mid size. The apple to apples feature comparison always resulted in a notably higher priced truck for the fullsize (4x4, rear locker, and some creature comforts). Even the other response to you said that the full

I do too. I’m 6 foot tall, and even long drives it feels comfortable. The bolstering on my seats is also great. That said, I have had a 914 for my entire life, and that actually is like sitting on the floor, so perhaps I am just used to that position. Either way, it’s fine with me.

I think both do qualify as luxury, but the Tesla provides for a more minimalist approach whereas the Mercedes is more opulent. I personally like the Mercedes interior design more myself, though.

I would love to see the level detail of some of the high-end 911s applied to a 914. I enjoy the 914 in stock form, but I’ve been in a few hot-rodded 914 and they’re certainly fun.

I do find it funny that everyone seems to complain about the lack of a hatch for the WRX/STI because I remember that when the 08 STI came out, everyone seemed to complain that it was no longer a sedan like the 04-07 STI. People are fickle. I personally liked the utility of the hatch more, and had a 2012 hatchback

If I were ever in the market for such a truck as a personal vehicle, I would get the lights simply for the fact that I think they look cool and add an extra touch of macho to an already huge vehicle.

I think you have to pay to get the clearance lights added for those trucks. I wonder why it would be an option.

I have 265/75 R16 KO2s with stock wheels and lift, and it does the job pretty well for what I need it to do. I will likely do a bilstein or OME lift whenever I need new struts, which will certainly help the look, but any off-road oriented mods come with a fuel economy penalty.

The tune is still pretty conservative even with the enhanced technology they added. That said, I put on some heavy all terrain tires on my OR4x4, so the gas mileage I get, although not too bad, is in part my fault.

Sounds like my experience with a used WRX. I loved that bugeye, but my blinders were on as I missed several important red flags. I replaced it with a new wrx afterwards, which resulted in a far less frustrating experience.

To be fair, the TRD Off Road is rated for less mpg since it doesn’t have the lower plastic valance.

I agree; I do not understand what their purpose was for relocating the mirrors onto the door given that they kept the corner obstruction anyways.

Depending on what car you are shopping, a rental may or may not not be available. In my case, every new car I have purchased have not been available as rental.

There is something off on those HDs; the cabs on the photos I saw look like they are from the prior generation, and only the front end was adapted to the 2019 Ram 1500 design.

The Ti version of the e36 was never the most attractive, anyways. That said, I like the look of gold wheels on red, and I really like Regamasters, so that combo works for me.

I thought the GTI was rated pretty well for fitting infant seats. My condolences on the loss, though.
