I’m not sure if I understand your comment sense I was talking about the dog in Call of Duty: Ghost in the comment you replied to.

Yeah, it was an awesome addition to the game. I just thought how they presented it during the games reveal was silly.
It would be a very weird move considering the previous games. I recall that when the first Mass effect game was showing up it took a really long time before they showed any gameplay footage a female main character. So I think their sticking to the male character more as a marketing poster child.
I have not played the game fully, but the dog was among the best things in the game from my experience. But how they presented the dog in the hype machine less so.
Adding to that comment, it’s all about presentation. Call of duty: Ghosts dog feelt like a tech demo. With lots of zoomed in details of 3D model screaming “LOOK AT THIS, THIS IS SOME NEXT GEN SHIT”, it also it was very focus on how the dog would benefit in combat.
I remember how Call of Duty tried to hype me up about a dog. Today someone else succeeded in that.
Oh, I’m not surprised, just pointing out how rarely you hear about it. It’s a lot of focus when its the other way around. When the publisher freaks out and cancel the project and crush the studio. But I am pretty sure there are people who work within publishing games that are good at their job.
(Except Konami.)
The game’s publisher, Surprise Attack Games, tried to calm the studio down and focus on the path forward.
All these rumours about Konami been treating their employees like shit after the switch to mobile gaming seems more true every day.
I want to hear about this thing called Half-Life 3. Is it true it can cure cancer?
Yeah, and I believe thats partly true. But what areas like Oolacile shows is that civilisations falls and mankind becomes twisted creators within the dark. So even if mankinds partly survives in the dark ,it’s not the glorious age of men, just another stage of existence.
Sakuma originally made Momotaro Dentetsu for Hudson. The franchise has sold tens of millions of copies in Japan. People love it!
That you can have the final fight with Solaire, a very simple thing in game mechanics, just gives it so much extra depth. I always took that as a sign that Solaire recover from his doubts, and maybe found a new strength in helping others rather than focusing on his own futile quest. Thats an happy ending if anything.
Although an happy rewarding ending in Dark Souls would feel way of to the setting. As much as I love happy endings in a lot of media they can also be an gross simplification when talking about big complex subjects. And I do see Dark Souls much being a story about survival, which is often an more complex progression…
As much as I want a Dark souls 3, I do have a lot of respect towards Miyazaki, and it feels like he rather work on new titles than sequels. Lets just hope the next one is multiplatform.
When you are working with large project you tend to name everything very simplified. This could have been something a coder named at one moment and they keep despite not being completely accurate.
Looking past that would be extremly biased. It was the developers own intention to try generate something controversial to sell more copies, and the violance and how the game threats it is an very essential part of the game. It does not mean all people will insantly hate it, but if you are going to review a game you…
The first Neverwinter Nights game had a shapeshifter class where you were supposed to transform into diffirent things to fight stuff. At the highest level you could transform into an ancient Dragon which pretty much took over the whole screen because its size. Was pretty amusing fighting the games bosses and be OP as…
