Looking back, I think the worst would be anything you’d have to finance but is still old enough/crappy enough to require repairs.  I learned this the hard way.

Anything old.

I knew a kid in high school who totaled not one, not two, not three, but FOUR brand new Saab 900s in the first two years he had his license. Mommy and Daddy just bought him a new one every time he wrecked one.

There are a ton of awful choices for first car, but they might well be eclipsed by bad first motorcycles. Pretty much anything with supercar performance available used under $5k is just generally a bad idea, although at least there’ll likely be far less collateral damage in the event of an accident.

Worst first car? The one you get to go to a dealership and pick out. Those kids were the worst. Having to drive a hand-me down or a hooptie that you can afford builds character and teaches you the value of the independence that a car can give you. It also gives you more of a stake in what you have.

They owe Demolition Man royalties on this. Though to be fair the car they used was a GM prototype.

I would focus on making reliable cars instead.

Knowing it to be GM.... I would assume that it would be constructed in a way that would allow one small plastic bit to fail, making it horrifically uncomfortable, and then light fire to the driver’s pants. Thankfully, the heroes of the GM accounting/marketing department would make this feature only available with

I think they’re lying and they’re just trying to get out ahead of the criticism.  “Hey, don’t blame us, it’s what the people said they wanted.”

“Integrating [these features] into a digital display was popular in research with Millennials, Gen-Z and traditional Mustang drivers alike,”

You think the s550 is only a “minimal cosmetic change” from the S195?

It is a soulless/passionless jellybean that looks 70% Camero.

I’d argue the 2000 Cobra R. It was so, SO special and so rare. They took the garbage Fox chassis and turned it into something that was beating C5 ZO6s in SCCA showroom stock. The motor was hilariously under rated at 385 hp, I’ve personally tested one and it made that at the wheels. Plus, look at that intake:

The original GT40, and it’s not even close.

Especially for stereo and climate of all things….

stereo and climate controls handled by the touchscreen rather than physical buttons

I very much miss the signature "dual cowl" dashboard. This isn't bad, but it's absolutely soul-less

As silly as this might sound, no physical buttons for climate control is a major no for me.

Hate the new digital dash.

The sad irony is, had they put that much money and effort into keeping it 100% stock? It would easily command the price they’re asking. But now? It’s just someone else’s show car where none of the blues are the same shade and the wheels are unfortunate.
