This kinda makes me think there are two different questions here:

I would agree with that. I mostly liked the previous one, but all those fake vents were just a bit too much.

Well, I can’t unsee that now, but at least I like the Stinger.

Agreed on the wing. The pedestal/supports make it look like one of those cheap aluminum wings you use to see all the time in the 90s/early 2000s, and the positioning looks like it’s up too far, like someone slapped it own without knowing what they were doing.

It’s subtle, maybe a little too subtle... or maybe it’s just cause the previous one was so over the top. The only thing I don’t like is that spoiler, which looks like something picked up from a chain auto parts store and stuck in an awkward location on the back. Otherwise, I like it.

With the “so far” idea in mind, it will very likely be an electric vehicle later in the century that is the most important... unless hydrogen or something new takes hold very quickly and out does the EVs, really who knows.

Well, that plays into my theory that Toyota doesn’t have a design team anymore, they just buy the worst of the throwaway designs from other companies and put a Toyota logo on them.

I saw a Jimny just like what’s pictured driving through Pennsylvania a little bit ago. So I guess there is a chance to have one stateside.

Quick mock up of the Crown without so much of that stupid black plastic.

I agree, it’s much better without that stupid extra black (lipstick).

It’s not too terrible... but all that shiny black plastic around the front and rear looks HORRIBLE! It reminds me of the terrible Avalon design where they just gave up on the front and made the whole thing a giant grill. If all that tacky black was the red of the rest of the body, this might actually be a decent, if

I am, however, not sold on the amount on anger and animosity I see on the road now. It’s almost like I’m flying a banner on the car inviting lifted trucks to drive aggressively and cut me off. I swear there are just a bunch of babies out there that see any avatar of change as a personal attack. Jerks.

I’m in the same boat, when I buy a car it’s for at least 10-15 years. I’ve got a few more years before I seriously start looking, and by then there should be some kick-a$$ looking EVs out there to chose from (new and used).

If you had asked me this a couple of months ago, I would have said Kia Stinger. I have a while before I get anything, but have really wanted one of those since they first came out and good used one should be priced right by the time I get another car....

Oh boy it gets worse, the Hybrid Max only get 28 mpgs, not the 38.

You know what pisses me off the most about all these fastback looking sedans, they have such a great opportunity to make them a hatch or liftback, but instead cut some small and sometimes nearly useless little opening for a trunk.

So you ask for tv shows with the worst cars, then spend most of the slides defending the choices in favor of the bad cars?

I enjoyed that show, but some of their heavy-handed product placement was nauseating.

I don’t see the Aztek much anymore, but I do still see it’s cousin the Buick rendezvous.

You know the actor specifically choose the Aztec, because he felt like Walter White would drive the most pathetic vehicle possible and that’s what he thought of.
