My understanding is you only get the trick differential on the highest level Honda trims where on Acura you get it by default. I could be wrong though!

Owned a 2017 MDX with the Tech package for a little more than a year. Just ended up trading it in for an XC90. The move with Acuras is to buy them used as they end up being about the same price as a Pilot with the same mileage. You get SH-AWD which makes a BIG difference, nicer interior, plus the ELS sound system…

Was about to say this. Dude likely landed at the dealership down the road who just canned their GM. Auto dealerships are like the Catholic Church. They just move people around when they fuck up. 

Right?! People forget that Chrysler at the time was pretty damn innovative and was doing well as a company. MB came in and fucked them up good. Imagine if they kept things going with the Cab Forward designs?

Had a Stratus of the same vintage that I got for $1200. The best cheapo car I’ve ever owned. Comfy, smooth ride, handled well, and had a surprisingly good stereo with a 12 disc cd changer. NP since it’s a runner. If you get a year out of it, you’ve come out ahead. 

GM is going to figure out a way to screw this up. I guarantee it.

Mine’s an LT with the comfort package. If you can get past the goddawful interior and shitty visibility it is an engaging and fun drive. 

I drove mine through 3 Vermont winters to my house which is halfway up a mountain on a dirt road. Only got bogged down once or twice when the snow was 8" deep or more. Snow tires FTW

The Volt has better mileage and is faster / handles better. Everything else about it terrible. The visibility sucks. The interior is garbage. It’s a hateful place to spend your time commuting vs. the Cmax. I leased a Cmax for three years and am now driving an 18' Volt. The Cmax is the better car for daily use.

I leased one of these back in 2015. Awesome commuter if you are looking for something comfy, quiet, feature packed, and kinda fun to drive. For sure the drivetrain is better. Its just that the interior is such hot garbage. I came from a 2015 C-max Energi plug in and it felt like an S-class in comparison. 

First Gen Volt was awesome. Then it came time for the second gen and they decontented the crap out of it and stopped marketing it completely. Pretty much the standard for GM. Come out with a good idea, then completely fuck it up shortly after.

Has anyone swapped in an SBC on a disco yet? Seems like that would be a match made in heaven. 

They’re bringing in the Bronco to handle the off-road crowd. No need to have the Explorer compete in that segment.
