I believe I saw an official response from Nintendo that claimed they never saw this issue occur in their tests. They almost went so far as to claim that switch owners were dishonestly blaming it on the dock after careless use.

I agree. I don’t expect every indie dev or even established small developer to do this sort of thing, but from ones who have made a name for themselves, I would like to see more stuff like this if they are going to have physical runs for their games, small as they may be.
