Xavier is one of those schools that goes against the norms. Its a tiny, tiny school that sees consistent success in basketball, but doesn’t pay like it does. Not sure why because they sell out a lot of games at a 10,000 seat arena and run a very profitable program

It’s actually sad how bad his dad has messed up with his career path. If someone would have been honest with him he could have easily played four years at UCLA, enjoyed the college life, graduate, and if he wanted to work at a sports agency in LA. Would he most likely gotten the job because of his name? Yes but screw

Thats why I love sports. Let me try to justify something that I would be livid about if it happened to a teammate

Jesus you wouldn’t even need to assign position or do any coaching. Kerr could just relax on the bench and could be like “Ok guys let me know when you need a break or something”

New Orleans does have great food but Houston easily beats them on the great food scale. Houston has everything the New Orleans has (mainly because of people relocating from Katrina) and there is a willingness to try new ideas or concepts, like Viet-Cajun fusion. Places in New Orleans tend to get stuck in the no this

I think one of the reasons Blizzard is talking so tough is that they know the players have all the power. Like you said OWL is comprised of all the top players and if they left the league will falter. The players would make less money but they would just go back to what they were doing a year ago

Also for most shotgun shells you don’t have to worry about them punching through walls and doors. Hell if it’s solely for home defense you buy non lethal shells if you want.

It was a total dick move because given the chance raccoons will eat in water to make sure their food is clean

Well the problem with the OP and the default rule, which as a guy I don’t mind for the first few dates, is that it easily sends the message that “I’m more important than you and you should have to pay for my time” If I get that feeling I either drop them as a friend/stop dating them or I put them in social timeout

That’s actually a tradition? Why wouldn’t you just get a smaller version of the original cake made?

So I live in Austin and would like to know where all this public support is that you are talking about? Many but not all in the city gov’t have thrown their support in but I have yet to hear of any residents speak enthusiastically about it. Go look at their social media numbers. Austin has almost a million people and

Because at the time and with what little details they had, it made more sense than what currently is going on. Also all the police said was that they were looking into the possibility that the victim might have been the bomb maker. Not once did they say the victim was actually the one who made the bomb.

Hey any little bit of info helps. Just because the person can make bombs doesn’t mean they won’t do something stupid or inadvertently give something away

No the city has been taking this pretty seriously since the 2nd and 3rd bombs went off last Monday morning. SXSW was going on for the last two weeks. Everyone in Austin, myself included, has been taking this seriously

The first bomb didn’t go off until he brought it into the kitchen and tried to open it up. So that’s why they thought he and maybe his wife, who was also injured, were trying to make a bomb. At the time, it did seem more plausible than what is currently going on

The ownership came in just expecting the city to hand over prime downtown park land. So even if people in Austin wanted the team, there still would have been serious resistance to just handing over park land.

Oh it will. I live in Austin and other than politicians there is very little in outspoken support for the team. They thought the city was just going to turn over prime downtown park land for them and that got quickly shut down. There were more people opposed to giving them park land than actual supporters.

Oh yeah completely agree. It just annoys me that people keep falling back on oh well he had training like it means he is magically qualified to handle every single situation.

Got to say that I agree with most of the points you made. People like Bull Moose have the benefit of getting to form their opinions with most of the info available with actual expert weighing in. I keep seeing people say he was a coward because he had the training and didn’t follow SOP, but my question is what

I’m a huge LeBron fan and I’m always surprised when people bring up the Decision in the LeBron vs Jordan debate. Like all you’re doing is giving me an opening to bring up the fact that Jordan retired twice in the prime of his career, with the first one possibly stemming from his gambling addiction. I agree that the
