Two things:
1) You don’t get more funding for flunking kids who refuse to learn and have a home environment that embraces ignorance.
2) I’m not sure any of this is new. People, on average, are terrible at writing and always have been.

That’s not new. Not remotely new. It’s not to get a better high, it’s just to hide the needle marks.
Gah! “Chemical” is not a synonym for “toxin”. Don’t be that guy!
I’ve wondered for ages why Ford doesn’t do this with the late-60's Mustangs. Even if all the materials are changed and updated, it’d be a real Ford and look just like one of those classics, except with all the modern trimmings (like decent A/C - Hey, I live in Texas, it’s not optional here).
That seller needs to learn something about selling a pickup. You need to show me the interior of the bed of that truck. Preferably with something thrown in there for scale.
But it’s not now. My point is that if hemp paper were better than tree paper, we would be using it now. Since we’re not, then tree paper is obviously, overall, the better product. Since tree paper is the better product, there was no reason for there to be a conspiracy to take down the hemp paper mills.
To quote the motto of the Weird Things podcast: Bigfoot isn’t real - he’s awesome!
The problem is that the Soviet space records are now an open book - warts, failures, and all. There’s a lot of embarrassing stuff in there, so it’s unlikely that at this point, we don’t have the whole story.
Check this out:
The problem with this one is that it ignores the fact that you can legally grow hemp today as a materials crop. And, it turns out, we’re not all swimming in hemp paper, because... Trees make better paper. Or, at least, the tree-to-paper process is more efficient.
If this weren’t true, we’d simply be using hemp paper,…
With the exception of your quotes around “accidentally”, I think this story is plausible. I think it was legitimately an accident.
Because Mexico.
I love Mexico, or, at least, I love Eastern Mexico (Yucatan, Quintana Roo, and Campeche). However, there are some cultural quirks they have that are somewhat difficult to relate to.
Bonnie and Clyde were hailed as adventurers and folk heroes (still are by some weirdos). But make no mistake, if the same…
Thanks. You’re the first person to reply and talk about app/text notifications and point out why they wouldn’t necessarily be terribly helpful in a bunch of scenarios.
Ah! Fair enough. I don’t expect this to be an issue for at least a few years yet. It’ll start in new complexes and then get retrofitted into high-end complexes. It’ll probably even start as an extra cost amenity (pay X dollars per month to get a parking spot with a charger).
Or, the even better possibility (although…
Not for a long, long time yet. Inductive charging is less efficient, and enough less efficient that we probably won’t be interested in writing off that loss for at least a few decades. At this point, more likely that we’ll come up with some sort of standardized outlet along with some pretty simple robotics so that the…
These are all 2015 numbers. Honestly, I’m not expecting this to be an issue for at least another 4-5 years. At least.
I hear what you’re saying re: community and sharing and all that, but we’re more focusing toward a future situation where there’ll be enough outlets so we don’t have to share.
Parking lot charge outlets will start to become an amenity in complexes. I’m guessing that for various reasons this is going to require a lock on the power outlet, and of course, more dedicated/reserved parking spaces (something lots of complexes do already).
Here’s a question for people who have more experience with…
I actually carry the plastic version of this utensil with me when I travel (same manufacturer). There’s nothing quite like being stuck in a hotel room with a delivery or takeout meal that requires utensils and you don’t have them (or, the delivery folks brought you some, and they break).
It’s pretty easy, actually...…

Maybe... I mean, the hardware’s definitely all there (all you need is GPS and heading, right?), but the software might not be. ‘Course, that just means you’d need a find a way to add the software.
I recommend doing what I’m doing... Scale up slowly. I’ve worked my way up from a $15 Cheerson (which is neat and all, but the controls are sluggish) to a $60 Hubsan X4 (which is still really small, but big enough that flying them inside is something you should only do once you’re good at it). The Hubsan I got has a…
