It sounds like a gimmick... well not even that, since this has been done so many times already, that there is a formula to it:

There are no good coffee places near my house or the University I go to, so I always start the day by preparing 5 cups of filter coffee. Then I stop by the kitchen every few hours to pour myself another cup. It’s just impossible to stop being a coffee addict, not that I don’t like being one. :)
