I’m kind of worried about Raph. All of his articles these days are so negative, it’s like he’s become incredibly unhappy. I used to enjoy them, especially his videos because he seemed to radiate this positivity, but the opposite comes through in his articles now and it’s really off-putting.

I own a CR-V - a 5th gen in fact.

I simply don’t understand the hatred for the Juke. My neighbor had one (leased) and absolutely loved it. I think the styling was fine. Much better than my other neighbor who had a Rav4 which manages to combine bland with ugly.

Nah, mate. The Rav-4 is gross. Even with the two-tone paintjob, it’s ghastly.

Doesn’t look ugly to me.

I don’t think it’s ugly. It’s just very generic.

My personal favorite part about this article is despite talking about it and including all other gens not once did you seem to notice you do not have a picture of the 4th Gen.

Slow news day I guess.

It allows for a much wider cargo opening. You can’t have taillights go up when the hatch goes up, so this is the compromise.

Meh, you’re making a big deal out of nothing because there’s nothing to CSW—chunky station wagon—styling. A box on wheels with some type of inoffensive grille in the front and some type of meets-DOT-regs tail lights in the back. Boom! Done.

So like most owners of jeeps / suvs / and tacomas then?

22 degrees is still a workout for a normal car, but they are certainly implying that its a really big deal and it kinda isn’t. this is 35%, and it seems its fine for Honda

Sweet, innocent me spent more than a couple seconds trying to figure out what was a picture of.

My wife wanted a Jeep, and this was the one that was on the list. But up here in Canada, it was all the things people describe in this thread, as well as stupid expensive. She ended up spending $5k less on a CX-5 with the 2.5L engine and has put three problem-free years on it. Probably dodged a bullet really.

We test drove one of these when we bought our Fit. We bought the Fit because it was objectively better in every single way - quicker, better fuel economy, safer, better for hauling things, etc etc. Still it was in the running simply because it had character. You could actually get it in something besides grey / silver

i believe this qualifies as a “shitbox”

Nah these things are turds.

I imagine the Bronco Sport will render these obsolete.

The Renegade hasn’t changed much in the intervening years

I’ve driven two, a base one, which was the worst car I’ve ever driven, and yes I’m including my broken af Range Rover Classic project car which had a fantastic randomised automatic gearbox, and a Trailhawk which was actually pretty okay to drive offroad, somehow less uncomfortable offroad than a Gran Cherokee. My
