More like the IS WACK Edition, right?!
More like the IS WACK Edition, right?!
Agreed. I, for one, intend to buy one. With actual money. New.
See everyone has a story. The fully loaded AWD/RWD 52k sticker priced, you name it gets beat by the current Z that starts at 29,990... This isn’t a thread about the deal you got or how your modded stinger eats Z’s for lunch. There is a reason Motor Trend uses an “as tested” price and not “my friend chad got one these…
It’s rumored to have a VR30DETT. I think it’s likely that the aftermarket for that motor is already larger than what’s available for the stinger.
Unlikely. The 350Z and the 370Z were 2-seater only, with 2+2 options based on the same platform available from infiniti. To my knowledge, all Z cars have come initially as strict 2-seaters, though certain generations also have 2+2 versions available.
It won’t, the infiniti version had back seats because they were rebadged JDM Skyline GT coupes.
There’s nothing wrong with tweaking an older platform. Porsche did this for decades with the 911 and it worked well for them.
M/T is 100 percent confirmed as an option.
dumb gonna dumb... the 370z is a perfectly capable sports car right now. Even if this is a lateral performance move, which it certainly wont be, it’d still be a perfectly capable sports car. The interior is completely revamped as evidenced by the photos which makes their post a predictably dumb response for jalopnik.
That’s how they made it cheap. And its a sports car. As far as i’m concerned the formula for the perfect sports car is “Make it drive more ore less old school, but with modern performance and reliability.”
When half the staff spends a good amount of time trolling the readership, it doesn’t portend well for things.
The readership on this site are idiots... and it’s not getting better. This car is going to be perfect in its segment.
It’s a two-door sports car, what new technology do you absolutely have to have that this car doesn’t?
Jeebus, we wanted to see the color not that eyesore they used it on.
Everyone on this site: “I want a fast, stylish-but-not-overstyled, 300-400hp car with RWD, a manual transmission, and relatively analog underpinnings. I also want it for cheap.”
It’s gorgeous. Now that we’re seeing colors beyond yellow, I want to know where I can start lobbying to ask for my favorite color options, orange and brown.
This is like the anti-Supra. Understated instead of over-styled, distinct nods to its heritage. Give it the 400hp TT V6 and a stick, price it in the low-40s to compete with the Mustang GT and undercut the I6 Supra, and you’d have to win hearts and minds of enthusiasts everywhere, right?
I like it: it’s got a lot of visual homages to the earlier Z cars, and I’ll definitely test one out.
To me, “Satin” refers to overall reflectivity of the paint, rather than anything to do with the color. In this case, it is gloss, not satin
Not one attractive angle on this beast
