My 850 is 4,100 lbs and you feel every one of them. Half the HP though. 

I got lucky. When I called State Farm to get my tow home covered, they asked when I was filing a claim. I told them where I was and what happened (no “oh, a deer!” stories).

As someone who rolled their daily (on which I was still making payments), I wholly agree.  A $2000 Miata was worth it afterwards.

The moral of the story here is that you don’t necessarily need to buy a second or third car specifically for track use.
