As a graphic designer, I see it as that weird font where its in Uncanny Valley. It looks like someones hand writing, but not all the way so it feels out of place. I, purposefully, will change things to comic sans on people just for the fun of it. I don't get outrage over comic sans, but rather find it amusing.
