I went to a school on the ALF hit list. It was actually really scary and completely unlike any other university I had ever worked in. We were under constant threat of bombing because they didn’t like the (completely legal) work one professor was doing.

Sadly, every time I start to think vegans might be people instead of soulless sociopaths, a story like this comes along to tell me they’re not people.
