2011 with a quad core i5 and the original box! Now I know it’s not the most modern machine but it is certainly useful and in my opinion still a striking design. I had some ram lying around, so the 4gb it came with is is now 16gb, really makes a difference. For $100 it’s a very nice internet machine.
Shot some cars. Among other things.
Date set to 3/22/1990.
Recently purchased a 2012 TDI Sportwagen. It was great, except for the stereo. It was overall just underwhelming, and Bluetooth only played on the right channel, through all speakers. Despite having a warranty the dealer refused to do anything about this, saying it was supposed to sound that way. I might have fought…
I must say it’s a fine automobile. Took it on it’s first real road trip a few weeks ago, from Boone North Carolina to Atlanta for an interview. Got to take it around some twisty roads on my way out of and back into the mountains and it’s a blast. I got 42 mpg on my way down with not much regard to efficient driving,…
An older Yakima set but they seem very solid. Also came with 4 Thule bike racks, the other one is in the trunk. I only have 1 bike that will work with them though, so probably going to resell them.
CPO and TDI emissions warranty really made this a good deal, and the dealer added on complementary maintenance for 2 years. These post dieselgate TDIs seem to be great deals. Where else can you get a certified pre-owned 2012 car?
Looking at getting one of these. Seems like a good value with the 2 year unlimited millage CPO warranty. Also manual. What do y’all think?
Found these two old Giant LaFree ebikes on Facebook Marketplace and couldn’t resist. $30 for two ebikes? Of course they don’t work but Im pretty sure I can figure them out. They look pretty neat and work pretty good as regular bikes. I really like the electric blue/purple color.
Kinda a loaded question, but old Cummins Rams have a price inflation issue. I also want to get the most I can.
1985 Fuji Espree, $50 from craigslist. Should be a fun little commuter, might even try using it for exercise. The Ram is a bit cumbersome in town and everything is within 5 or 6 miles of my place, so a bike seems like a good choice for most days when I go to Walmart to buy more ping pong balls.
1700 miles, from Omaha NE to Bend OR. What a trip.
Last minute change on the solar car, our hall effect pedal wont work, looking for a readily available pedal that uses a potentiometer. Either available locally at a parts store or could get here by monday.
Quite the truck. Harder to park than the Ranger, obviously, but besides that a great experience so far.
Design and build post in the works. We race in July.
