I always found her story rather sad.  She had a brief moment of cultural significance, and then she put out a second book that revealed a lot of inner ugliness and it all evaporated.  That can’t have been easy, to have it all, and then lose it in a moment.  I don’t think she published any books since then, but I hope…

100% true. Contrary to Rich’s assertion that “this is practically unheard of”, plenty of artists express dissatisfaction with their previous work while asserting that their current project is the most authentic and personal work they’ve ever done.

Isn’t there always an edgy, makeover phase, too? They go from blonde to black hair, dress in leather, all that jazz?

I hate that the pedantic side of me made me look this up. But apparently, the average amount is 1.5-5 milliliters per instance. Split the difference at 3.25ml. There are 240ml per US cup. So about 74 times or more than 10 times a day.....and that’s a “no”. I mean, if I had a gun to my head, maybe I could figure it…

“at least a cup of it a week” I’m no expert, but can a guy produce that much in a week? Sounds like a full time job.
