Workers aren’t forced to work for Uber/Lyft...they’re doing it by choice and they should know what the costs are. Regulating it makes no sense to me, do the law makers realize it will make Uber/Lyft disappear which will actually take income away from people who rely on these gigs to make a living?

Considering what gutless lives we all lead and how intensely she lived, you have to admire that outlook. And sometimes the brave pay the ultimate price.

Baa baa fuck you.

What’s gutless about the everyday risks we all take to provide for ourselves and our families? Dying to a drunk driver on the turnpike or an accident at work may be less glamorous then doing it in a jet car, but the reaper doesn’t care how cool your death was; you’re dead all the same.

Yeah I feel like such a wimp for refusing to strap myself to a jet engine and blow myself to smithereens in the desert, like a REAL human being

um, come again? Let me guess youre a wolf?

Lauding her drive and willingness to do amazing things is great, and I’m sure as hell sad about this, but calling people gutless and sheep because they choose not to take unnecessary risks for an adrenaline thrill is some really pathetic projecting.

“Seems that if you’re in the allowed testosterone range then you’re in the range”

But what I’m asking is, does that matter?

This continues to be one of the worst, most naive takes on Deadspin. Sometimes, you can’t operate on what you wish was true and you have to operate on what *is* true.

No, she’s not. The ruling is actually very specific and regards women with XY chromosome pairs. She does not have XX chromosomes.

This stupid thing is said *every* time here and it’s still wrong. Phelps is competing against literally everyone. Semenya is competing against a subset limited to women, while possessing a significant advantage of having male testosterone.

The ruling is specific to 46X/Y people, which means she isn’t a XX chromosome female.  That’s the part Deadspin likes to leave out.

In regards to your Phelps example, let’s say swimming had two divisions; one for people with short arms and one for people with long arms. Phelps and his freakishly long arms qualify for the long arm division. Do you think it would be fair for him to compete in the short arm division?

She’s intentionally mixing apples and oranges. She is using the success and popularity of the women’s national team to argue that a women’s professional league should be given more money. This, of course, completely ignores the fact that the women’s national team is not designed as a business. For whatever reason she

One thing I really hate is people that generalize generations. It’s dumb, and often inaccurate. I will bet anyone a nickel that boomers will be 60%+ of the buyers of this thing. My dad (age 70) has always hated the Corvette and think this one is finally one he might consider.

No one ever said switching to triathlons was easy.  RIP

Suicide. Is there a shortcut this guy won’t take?

Soon we’ll all be coo-coo for coco gauff
