I’m going to go with his torque steer problems being caused by using wheels with a way bad offset that were designed for a RWD vehicle.

Help me understand why unequal halfshaft length would contribute to torque steer.  I’m not seeing it.

I think the sled was more like an escape pod in case the Chevette ran into trouble it couldn’t handle.  I’m not sure if the sled was a runner.  I recall a few packs of Marlboros as being part of the purchase process.
