I just borrowed a coworker’s early 2000s GX470 to haul some wood around, and it rode nicer than a truck with 190,000 miles on it should. The engine was damn near silent.

That’s true, but for traffic duty it seems pretty ideal.
The entire Ecoboost lineup makes great torque numbers, especially with the help of a tune.
These have aged so well.
Only problem with this is that hardly anybody will know how much it’s worth.
It does seem high, but MSRP on a 430 HP ready-to-go LS3 crate is $13,856, and the T56 is close to $5k. Definitely another $10k in there for the differential and suspension, not to mention whatever else they do to get to 525 HP and make it work in a Miata.
That was my first thought; the 2.0L turbo four in my Focus ST puts out similar numbers. Infiniti must be banking on the overall efficiency/MPG, and I’d image the powerband will be pretty nice as well.
I don’t have hard data to back this up, but in most job sectors it seems that the only way to get any sort of livable wage increase is to move to another position elsewhere and negotiate a higher wage. Yearly raises hardly cover inflation anymore; turnover rates appear to be up in every sector.
Something else to look out for is an ex-detective car. It might have spent a lot of time idling, but they’re not necessarily driven hard. A friend of mine picked up an ex-detective 2007 Impala for right around $5k with 85k miles and it was fucking spotless. It had the 9C3 police-package, absolutely silent…
Where I’m at (MN) you can legally run a light on a motorcycle if the light has not changed “for an unreasonable amount of time.” You might want to see if your state has something similar.
It’s a very loaded question.
Certainly a major issue for the vehicle, but non-major for a customer who can have their car back in 24 hours and not spend a penny on it (while under warranty). Engine overhauls can take a lot of time/rack up unexpected costs in a hurry.
Wild. I looked up the wiring, and the Multiplex Control Unit controls door lock and wiper functions. I have no idea why manually moving the wipers would trigger any signal on it, but it must be some weird connection there.
Damn, this bike looks good.
You don’t ride, do you? Just because they’re both naked 1000cc bikes doesn’t mean they have at all the same riding experience.
Just trying to push people to use more secure pins/passwords, rather than basing it off a number that is entirely public.
Seriously. Certain companies (I work under one) can track a vehicle from the day it hits the lot at a dealer to it’s death (salvaged/no longer titled or registered.) Just like in any other industry, data is one of the most valuable assets in the auto industry.
Seeing as VIN numbers are public data (visible on the car, collected at the dealership and every single shop it’s ever been to, etc.), that’s probably not a good idea.
Data mining in the auto industry is huge, and tracking VIN numbers is a big part of that. Some companies have their hands on enough products that they…
CHP Lt. Charlie Sampson told the LA Times that “it was not clear whether the driver knew he was being followed by the undercover car.”
