I’m not 100% sure the reason they didn’t pick him was because his role as freedman-turned work boss-turned insane bear killer in Hell on Wheels (which I have to say I thought he was really good in).

I lost out big on my first car due to just having no experience in negotiating for anything, let alone a car. Like I knew what I was “supposed” to do, but in practical application I was just obviously a fumbling idiot so yay I “argued” off $500...on a $2000 over-sticker markup. Am still kicking myself years later, but

Nope. Went to Auburn and after the scare they had in 2004 where they came THIS CLOSE to losing their entire university accreditation/state funding, I would expect they’ll follow the letter of this (admittedly bullshit) rule - mainly because it’s already out there in the open. If it were “brush under the rug” type

I actually find the phrasing very telling, specifically “I don’t see”. Dude didn’t write “he isn’t”, not “he might or might not be”, just “I don’t see”.

I have no idea. The president of white people, I guess.

Yuppies (read “assholes”) who shop at Whole Foods, which has an actual damn recipe for it:

Maybe a Pittsburgh thing because the Chuck E. Cheeses in Alabama are white trash central. Lots of “parents drop their kids off unsupervised for hours while they go huff spray paint in a parking lot” kind of shit.

Well, aside from my historical man-crush John Paul Jones, who was tearing shit up at sea:

I legit thought this was a joke until I looked up the quote. Jesus Christ on a Shetland Pony, these fucking people would burn a $100 bill to chase a $5 made out of monopoly money...

Hello fellow 10th-er! Out of curiosity since I’m asking everyone I know here about it: did Corbin-Johnson campaign in/around your area at all? In Harrisburg/Hummelstown I never saw so much as a single sign in the traffic medians, no canvassing, no mailers, nothing. So I’m genuinely curious if maybe she put all her

Cookies are FAR too flavorful. Graham Crackers, please!

You only say that because you’re from NJ, which has contributed nothing to the culinary milieu of America, aside from Chris Christie gamy steamed ham-hocks.

George Scott won PA’s 10th after literally burning an assault rifle on a bonfire in a campaign ad in which he rightly called them “weapons designed only for war” - and that’s coming from a guy who spent 20+ years in the army.

Our names don’t sound “bad” together but they are both fairly long, so the idea we had was he has an Irish first name to go with my wife’s last name and an English middle name to go with mine. So basically when he’s older he can more or less choose himself as he has two-names-in-one. Kind of a roundabout, but my wife

Yep, this. I kept my name, my wife kept hers, and our son’s name is hyphenated (with hers coming first since she did the “heavy lifting” of carrying/birthing him). Seems logical and about as “fair” as possible.

Re: #3 - for those of you in/around DC, I highly recommend the Scottsboro Boys musical, which is coming to your area later this month and runs all through June. I saw this when it was on Broadway in 2010 and it was truly a fantastic show that really delves deeply into the whole event, nationwide coverage, etc. in a

I’m thinking more a Sauvignon Blanc, preferably from one of the many fine Afrikaaner-owned wineries in South Africa where you can really taste the “history” deeply ingrained in the earthy mouth-feel.

I too played this deck a lot in the past 2 months, but at this point I just don’t bother anymore because, as you said, it isn’t “fun”. And trying to run the ladder without one of these OP decks isn’t fun either, so at this point I’m just playing random fun decks in Play-mode and have found that much more enjoyable

But there’s plenty of weapon usage by other classes in the meta to justify the ooze - Aluneth for mages, Stormaxe for Shaman, and the whole laundry list of ‘em for Warrior/Hunter/Paladin/Rogue. Pretty much anybody aside from Priest and Druid probably has at least 1 weapon in their deck. And that’s not considering

Sadly as true now as it always has been. Never a bad time to put this MLK quote from his Letter from a Birmingham Jail back out there, which speaks to the same thing (bolding for emphasis):
