Many other retail chains don’t deal with trade ins and used stuff like they do. Testing a system for reselling requires to handle them for a few minutes to test and reformat, plenty of time to catch something. My old store had a good stockpile of wipes to disinfect them (and the user’s hands), but I get that most

Not yet, but I can write one for you.

I’m not sure what you could of possibly spent an extra thousand dollars on to improve that 7 second load time on your PC but it doesnt seem worth it.

The PS5 is either going to be a little less or a little more powerful than the XBOX Series X, but nothing jaw dropping on either end of the spectrum. The rumor I have heard is that Sony is trying to tweek some final software/firmware adjustments to squeeze a little more juice out of it, but they are not going to come

Here’s a sobering figure for us PC gamers: a quick perusal of the Steam Hardware Survey report page will reveal that the architecture Microsoft has specified here outperforms approximately 98.9% of all PCs on Steam period.

I was convinced Criterion was working on a VR X-Wing game after they released that free mission a couple of years ago. And yet nothing came out of it. It was SO cool and seemed like a demo for something much bigger and better.

I disagree. It definitely left a bad taste in peoples mouths. I have multiple cards that I bought from Target on clearance when they cleared things out and even then they were double what an SD card would cost. The appeal is to have one giant card with all your stuff on it but those cards are still expensive. A used

I recall ALOT of RE2 fans complaining that Capcom cut out a fair amount of content for RE2 making it a vastly shorter experience than the original PS game.

....but RE2 remake is the whole game. That’s why no one is complaining.

People would absolutely complain if Capcom released Re2 Remake--Part 1.

I find this whole “Pay $60 for 1/20 of the game is dumb” argument to be ridiculously stupid. You do realize that you’re paying not for the story but the new game in its entirety right? If you just want the story, I have news for you, just don’t buy it and watch a LetsPlay. You think Square can just crap out games of

I deleted all my social media this past fall and I can see that I’m not missing anything, haha.

I dont think you need to have your head up your ass. I just think your head is in the wrong places if you're still seeing fanboys. They are loudest on twitter and and ign. They're also young people (minded and age wise). Give them no mind

GDC isn’t a fan show... It’s not even open to the public.

People can voice their support or boycott whatever they want for whatever reason they choose. Doesn’t make them right and definitely doesn’t mean we should be listening to what they say. Especially anonymously. Their words carry no weight.

Ever hear “console war” talk in person?

Microsoft winning the console war has nothing to do with GDC attendance.
We already know most of the big releases on Sony’s plate for 2020. The same things as last year and to an extent, the year before.

No, that didn’t happen. Unless you count 3 anonymous commenters from the Kotaku comments section.

His theory ignores the fact that the past and future don’t actually exist like some recording we are watching. That’s why the energy requirements are so high. You need more energy than is available in the universe because you are essentially reversing entropy on the scale of the whole entire universe itself. It’s not

I feel like maybe they should have shadow-dropped this. But maybe that’s just my desire for these Yacht Club Presents things to be more exciting. This one felt like another bust to me. Cyber Shadow has a release window, not even an exact date. Shovel Knight Dig is still in development, but not out this year. They’re

The sister sites always share articles between each other. Go to AV Club and see an article from Kotaku (“Read on Kotaku”), go to The Root and see an article from Deadspin (RIP), go to Gizmodo and see an article from Lifehacker. It’s been that way for as long as I can remember.

I am so ready for this. And I’m glad for any game that adds an “explore mode” where you can focus more on the environment instead of the survival aspect. I know it’s not how it’s “intended” to be played, but sometimes I’ll just find that more fun.
