Depends on the GVW. 6-lug 2500s had the same brakes as the 1500s but the 8-luggers had a heavier braking system.

Here in the middle of the rust belt where cars rarely last 15 years there are at least half a dozen people with GMT400s within a quarter mile of my house. The NEWEST of these trucks were made 20 years ago, and at least a couple of the ones I see on a daily basis are pushing 30 years old.

$2500 for a running and driving truck, and it’s the last year of the indestructible GMT400 series. This is a no brainer. NP all day long.
