Yep, it’s a Michigan car.

The Aston Martin grille. Even on their newest models it’s still the same shape.
The overall design of a Jeep Wrangler. Not only does it have the slotted grille bordered by round headlights, the removable top and windshield that can be lowered, removable doors, and the trapezoidal wheel openings, but the package as a whole is a striking homage to the original Jeep. It’s unmistakable.
Gotta go with project Ithacus again. 1200 troops in a capsule on an icbm, launched into space and landed anywhere on the planet within an hour.
Europa (moon of Jupiter) has a surface composed entirely of a thick layer of ice.
The Kessel Run. Goal is to do it in less than 12 parsecs.
MMU (Manned Maneuvering Unit) races. It’d be like a jetpack race... in space!
Project Ithacus. It was a troop deployment concept involving cramming 1200 troops into a capsule on top of an ICBM, then launching them into space (briefly) so they could be quickly deployed to any location on the planet.
The Soviet TMK program. Conceived in response to the American moon missions, the TMK program was supposed to be a series of three-year+ missions. A couple of Mars missions were planned, including landing people on Mars. One mission included a manned flyby of Mars AND Venus.
Reader OfftheschneidER replied with this awesome story of his padre captaining the plane that spotted and dropped the rescue devices for Gemini 8. Definitely worth a read.
Awesome story. If Gemini 8 makes AOTD this needs to be included.
Yuri Gagarin and Vostok 1. Prior to the mission launch in 1961 only a few animals had been in space, many of which never came back. Yuri Gagarin was the first human being to sit inside a metal can on top of a rocket and let himself get launched into the massive void of space. If that isn’t heroic I don’t know what is.
Gemini 8. While docked with a target vehicle the spacecraft entered a spin. Trying to regain control the astronauts managed to briefly stop the spin and undocked from the vehicle before spinning again, but with their craft now having a lower mass the spin became so fast the astronauts were on the verge of blacking…
Now, Furious George sent me a link to another Delta that this shop is offering, a Martini Liveried ride that’s a little bit less country and a little bit more rock and roll.
Drive an old, simple diesel. Convert it to run on biodiesel. I’ll be able to make my own fuel and the easiest way to keep a car maintained in those conditions is to have one that needs minimal maintenance.
Having never done a track day and really wanting to, I’d have to say my worst track day experience is the fact that I’ve never had one.
DeLorean DMC-12. Yes, John DeLorean was American, but the cars were from Northern Ireland.
Kia K900. Hardly anyone thought it was a bad car, most reviewers actually said it was pretty amazing, plus a fantastic amount of features for the money. But ain’t nobody in America paying that much money for a Kia.
If you’re unaware of the fee with the power of the internet and all the information out there, you deserve to pay the moron tax.
