I don’t feel superior. I would say my reaction to *this* particular article is what prompted my emotional outburst. This Jez article is literally about the drama, not about the art. And it’s the only piece about Lemonade on here other than the live blog thing from last night, so my first thought is just like “Really?”

Also as a side note I feel like the word *drama* gets used in a really gendered way, specifically as dismissive of women’s voices, feelings, experiences.

Here here!

Of course you can be! But equating them is a little bit unfair. Beyonce was in a marriage: she didn’t involve “herself” in this infidelity drama, she is expressing what happened to her marriage.

Funny how the people who claim to hate drama are so often the ones starting it.

I saw my mother going through what she went through when my father cheated on her, later was cheated on by the father of my own children- I know that furious sense of betrayal somehow invalidated by that deep down, nasty hunch that can be summed up as “well what did you expect?”

Devils deserve protection under the law as well.

I’m troubled by authorities even mentioning the charges of MINORS who were probably charged as such.
