The only safe way- I have seen the fake checks and cannot tell the difference, they will have watermarks, the correct font and everything looks right- a lot of times they will have incorrect routing information coded on the bottom to slow the processing but trying to confirm that is impossible in most cases

Where I am there is only one tow company for police to call for wrecks and they get reviewed so not too bad, it’s the other ‘cowboy’ tow companies that are the issue. In Ontario there has even been shootings in the tow industry
