Ha, I just posted something similar! I want to not say anything until the kid is born then just casually post a picture like “So yeah, I have one of these.”
So far my pregnant friends have been pretty good about waiting to announce but it is always in some saccharine sweet little-baby-booties-between-adult-shoes sepia toned instagram filtered photo. BARF. I really want to not tell anyone when I get pregnant, not say anything through the entire pregnancy, then post a…
The more I read about this the more it does seem like People is trying to make her look bad. Which is not to say that her statements to the interviewer didn’t help that along.
If we keep our mouths shut then it’s our own fault when we’re treated like crap because we didn’t say anything. If we say something then we’re “overreacting”. There is truly no winning.
Yeah, most supermodels don’t rely on People magazine for their press.
I think she’s cluelessly racist and also kinda dumb. It sounds like she is genuinely sorry that she said something that hurt and/or angered people, but she doesn’t understand why it hurt/angered people. Hence the whole, “But there were two black people there!”
The quality of the shot is poor, too. Like a cell phone shot from a distance.
THANK YOU. She’s been self promoting for a long time now with the distinct goal of breaking into mainstream modeling. Mainstream models are public figures and public figures (in our culture) are role models. She’s an idiot or disingenuous or both.
They look completely drawn on to me. I think she’s way beyond enhancing and has ventured into stencil territory.
The best response to that is, “I’m counting on it.”
Where in the US do women have “free and easy access to abortion for 5/6 months”???
Prefacing an opinion with “as a scientist” does not make that opinion a fact.
God knows what it takes to make anything last forever (polygamy?), but please reveal in the comments if you have figured it out.
I had a roommate like that. Her parents paid for everything- tuition, books, rent, utilities, car, car insurance, gas, etc. yet she’d talk about being broke all the time because she had to buy groceries. I was stressing about my student loans once and all she could say was, “Well, if you saved more of your paychecks…
I want to produce a line of maternity tees that say “Still pro-choice” over the belly.
Me too! I have to start researching rallies and other such public pro-choice gatherings so I can blow some forced-birther minds!
