Seriously. Abortions are pretty straight forward. There’s not, like, a seminar’s worth of information to pass on. They’re banking on women being unable to travel back and forth for the initial appointment and then the abortion. They also think that no woman would ever have an abortion because she knows what’s best for

I got the IV anesthesia & painkillers with mine (because I could afford it and I have nothing medically contraindicating, although it did make me vomit up my antibiotic on the car ride home :/) but there was a woman in the recovery room with me who didn’t have them because she didn’t have someone to drive her. She was

I’m planning on getting pregnant next year and I’m absolutely going to at least a couple CPCs. I’ll get my free pregnancy test and ultrasound, then tearfully listen as they try to convince me not to have an abortion. As I’m walking out the door I’ll turn and say, “Psych! Thanks for the free pee test and ultrasound! I

Do you ever use primer? I’ve found that primer first, then powder, then liner works pretty well for keeping the liner in place.

I live closer to Flint but most of my friends live in the Detroit area so I spend a good amount of time there!

Where do you think you’ll see the first pair of crocheted short pants this summer? I vote The Loving Touch.

GODDAMMIT STAMOS.

If you google image search “american flag jesus figurine” this is the first image:

10/10 would read!

It seems like none of this is standard from clinic to clinic though. Maybe there needs to be changes in oversight of IVF facilities? New federal laws? I don’t know. It seems like it would be in everyone’s favor and it’s strange to me that (at least some) clinics aren’t covering every single possible scenario for their

I agree. I just suggested to mocena that the entire IVF process should be broken up into stages and each stage should require new consent. This won’t help settle Vergara’s case but it could prevent new similar cases.

Then maybe the solution to all of this (not Vergara’s case because we can’t go back in time, but for future IVF procedures) is to break the process up into parts, each one requiring new consent. Egg harvesting: consent form. Egg fertilization: consent form. Implantation of embryos: consent form.

BURN.

Seriously, even if they were 5 cents each, I still wouldn’t buy seven! Really, who needs seven limes for one week? Especially when you’ve only got $29 to spend?

I personally didn’t know that there was such a lime-cost discrepancy in this country, and I don’t think I’m the only one. Everyone knows that different food costs different amounts in different places, but damn, limes are all over the board.

PUNCH THAT PERSON IN THE THROAT.

I watched a bit about this on tv last night and they said that many facilities/clinics actually don’t include stipulations in the contracts regarding divorce or separation, only death.

Ugh BARF.

Same here! We’re gonna start trying around Dec/Jan and holy shit these stories are freaking me out. Fuck that 96 hour noise! Luckily neither of us was a larger-than-average baby or toddler.

I just mentioned to someone else that limes are 50 cents each where I live. No way in hell I would spend over 10% of my budget on goddamn limes.
