Good, happy to see a massive fine for a change.

Now make them do a recall to fix every engine with the defeat device in place. Also make it impossible to license any vehicle for on road use if the recall isn’t addressed within 6 months. I realize state based licensing makes the second have of my proposal impossible.

this is why I am skeptical when my state chose to drop tailpipe emissions testing and revert back to trusting the diagnostic systems after already switching back to tailpipe emissions testing when dieselgate broke. you just can't trust the onboard sensors blindly when it seems any company is willing to put defeat

I got to drive one of these, and review it. Left out of my copy were the the three incidents where the passenger seat was occupied by young ladies asking me to take them for a drive. ( It is probably worth mentioning that I am older than some deities and have the charm of an accident in a mall parking lot)

Why am I not watching, two reasons:

pffttt the true pollution issues is with the corporations, not a 350SDL...

Keeping it on the road in place of a new car will do less damage than buying a new car...by a lot.

It will only get better, in fact I’m sure there are programmers actively working on covering up the ways you mention to spot AI content. I see this ending up like the internet: seems like a good thing, ushering in the future, etc., but will end up cause a lot of serious problems, if not the worst of problems.

Put a LS in it.

Damn, do I hate the giant screen. Subaru has to have it, because everyone has to have it, but at this point they’re just making up stuff to put on it.

A MB diesel for less than $4k? I’d sell a kidney for this. Where do i sign?

Put it in "H"!

...with a top speed of 136.2 furlongs per fortnight...

Pretty much. The idea that “it’s just hacking” is short-sighted and foolish when we live in a society where connected systems can literally be life-or-death affairs. Yeah, this time he hacked R* this time - but what if it had been a hospital? If he’s not capable of remorse and exhibited violence in custody, he’s a

I’m as anti-prison as you can get when it comes to anything short of violent crimes but even then I believe in rehabilitation over incarceration. However, I’m already seeing takes like “he’s just a hacker, he didn’t hurt anyone” which is absolutely the most braindead take I could have imagined.

The beady-eyed headlights, the utter blankness of its fascia, the jowly flabbiness of its proportions...yup, I’d say the “stylist” was paying homage to Putin’s favorite bitch:

It can go 300 hectares without even needing a tank of kerosene

It sounds like someone trying to describe a Fiat 500e over the phone, but without specifying any proportions, and the person writing down the nodes wrote it as if it was a full sized SUV

If you flying international and get to fly on Air France or JAL, you’ll see a huge difference in service. Especially Asian airlines they are far far better than an US airline.
