Yes, this was exaggerated.

Yes. I have not planned on being a game reviewer/critic as a career choice.

I love the FFXIV mural that was created. It's unfortunate that it masks (hands-down) the shittiest game of all time.

Catsle.

They actually didn't finish the job. Someone kicked over the chair and they woke up.

If they released this as a game where you do nothing but drive around a city (with no actual purpose), I would pay up to $100 for the serenity.

I just made it up for an equation of preorders at Amazon. However, a few thousand pre-orders from an e-tailer doesn't seem that far off. Either way, it's primarily used to denote the equation.

Let's use these variables to justify your comment (minus piracy; don't do that):

Amazon is a bit different. Amazon only carries in a few distribution centers, which are set up to direct deliver product to the customer. Holding costs, in terms of EOQ (the determinant of all things inventory), are carried only at one cost center (DC), vs. holding costs in two centers (DC and store). Because of this,

I agree completely to part 2. However, business is business. Hiding the reality of a situation is not uncommon.

I wanted to shed a little bit of a (possible) light on why this isn't hitting our neck of the woods. These games don't do very well in the states. Though I may want it, and you too, the fact stands that this is no Mario. It takes a fairly large amount of sales (total volume) to recoup the costs of marketing,

Rarity of JRPG's on the console.

I'm proud that my artwork is the only thing on Kotaku, lol.

Don't forget that Final Fantasy III (6) hit the VC.

I've been thinking the same thing.

This is a triumph.

I've been whistling that song since I was was like 5.

You're going to fall into the video game backlog trap, lol.

Civ 5 Mac is no longer available at the ~$16 price on gamersgate. It's now $49.95. Thank you, however, for the list of the great deals!

I highly encourage Kotaku's readers who play WoW to participate in the study. It was so hard in undergrad/grad school to get anyone to participate, and even if you offered cash it still wasn't enough. I have zero affiliation with this particular university, but I'm grateful for anyone who helps out these researchers.
