I agree that “fall apart” needn’t involve some kind of mental collapse. “Choke” is generally the standard sports term for when someone has a mental collapse. I do agree with Clark that people do run to that well a bit too often to explain a loss, but I don’t think anyone’s accusing Venus of that. Her game just went to

Hell yeah. John Wall flies. It’s fun to watch. Leandro Barbosa when he was young. Monta Ellis, Derrick Rose. Smith Jr. is also a couple inches shorter than these guys, too, so the visual effect is even more pronounced.

I totally agree, though. And it’s especially indefensible when a team is not a serious contender.

Not to mention the stories that David Griffin turned the job down because he wasn’t sure he’d have full basketball decision making authority. Seems like anyone who takes the job is doomed. But doomed in that “being an NBA GM” not bad way of being doomed, which is why I guess anyone would even take the job

Rosenthal is great.

This explanation doesn’t make sense. If the IRS allows you to defer these taxes, why would they be filing liens. By “allow” does he mean “not immediately incarcerate” or something? Granted, I’m just a poor boy, but this does not seem legit. And as someone pointed out below, he’d have to be getting excellent returns to

Motherfucker looks like he eats his wheaties with davidoff cool water.

He definitely needs to wear an undershirt or button his shirt higher.

Finally caught a re-play overnight, and I agree. It seemed like there was a shadow lifted from the game, and players were free to turn it into the joyous celebration of baseball it was meant to be.

Seems to be like an abusive relationship at this point. I feel embarrassed for everyone involved.

Yeah, that’s the best solution, I think.

A 15% approval rating?! That barely seems possible Like 25% seems like it should be the minimum, just for pure obstinancy with voters not wanting to admit their error. And this guy won multiple elections?!

Thanks! One thing I heard is that they tend to be fairly lazy, which makes them good city pets.. Is that true?

DON’T GET IT TWISTED!

Yeah, man, poker is a good game, but playing it live can be a real turnoff with some of the people who act like assholes. It’s bad enough when you’re playing blackjack, but with poker you actually have to play against the assholes, which adds a level of unpleasantness to it, which is why I rarely play it live.

Normally I don’t care much about rich people fighting with other rich people. But man, the Marlins are so fucking gross.

I think they ought to get rod of all Confederate memorials and tributes. If private citizens want to preserve them and display them on private property, that’s their business. But for it to be publicly supported and displayed must be a real slap in the face to the people in the community who would have suffered under

That really is an amazing annual salary. Players have come a long way. Given that all NBA franchises have become billion dollar assets, it is nice to see the players get theirs. And as much as Harden is not my favorite style of player, there’s no question he is an elite player and deserves to be at that max level.

This is a bad deal for Boston. Twoway guards have never been more valuable. I don’t know what other players could have made the money for Hayward work, but seems like just about any of them would have been preferable to losing Bradley.

Draymond is going to destroy his soul.
