It’s amazing that Bumgarner has never been on the DL, especially given his, um, unique lifestyle. Even if the Giants wanted to, they’re certainly not going to void his crazy team friendly contract. I dunno... After 3 WS titles, 7 years of showing up every 5th day and being a general badass, I wouldn’t want to be the

Goddamn, the Clippers are just the worst.

Agree. It actually took me a while to warm up to it, because I was so used to ex-jock shows being lame. And Pedro Martinez, on whatever show/game he’s working, is fantastic. Unlike a lot of the ex-players, I feel like he really does offer a lot of insights to viewers, and he’s got a great personality, too.

Wow, it just kind of hit me that it’s baseball season, and no more Vin Scully.

Same Here. I’m a Giants fan, but live in Alameda County, and in light of the past 10 years of Lew Wolff and the more recent news about the Raiders and Warriors, I think it’s fantastic that the A’s seem to be committed to Oakland. The A’s have a great history and fanbase. Glad to see the team embracing it.

Yeah, I don’t blame him for doing it. He’s having a great year, and it’s kind of nice seeing him flourish with D’Antoni. I do blame the refs for giving him FTs when he goes out of his way to initiate contact and turning the game into some tedious lawyer ball. The Warriors have managed to turn him into an ineffective

As a Warriors fan, this is all true. I’ve already thought about Steph Curry leaving at some point in the future, and while I’d be bummed, I’d also be extremely grateful. The Warriors were so horrific, for so long, that these guys basically have a lifetime pass in the Bay Area. Even Andrew Bogut, who didn’t leave on

I’ve never been much of a fan of Hawk from what I’ve heard of his broadcasts, but he’s always seemed like a good guy in interviews and stuff. What do Sox fans think of him? Will he be missed?

Can we just agree that all of these failkids are terrible?

I just want to say that Dvora and the Indy Star have been doing a great job covering these stories.

Stauskas was “Klay Curry” and now Buddy Hield has “Steph Curry potential.” He clearly doesn’t understand that Steph is more than just a good shooter.

As a Warriors fan, I don’t usually care to defend Doc, but he’s about 200 games above .500. He’s got a .579 winning percentage as a coach. He may be overrated, but I think he’s also an objectively good coach. And sure, he owes all of that to KG, Pierce, Allen, Chris Paul, etc., but every coach owes his success to the

Yep. I work at a Community College in California. It is just not possible that an employee would not know how to properly report allegations of sexual abuse, and/or that they are required to actually do so.

He most certainly is not one of the most overrated players. He’s the key to the Warriors defense, and often the offense runs through him as well. He dominates games without needing to score.

I was hoping Napoleon Kaufman would be on this list. Maybe my favorite Raiders player of the late 90's. He could really fly. I remember being really bummed out that he retired so early.

There are tons of failed head coaches, but how many get to become honest-to-goodness folk heroes?

I mean, the perception of Jim Tomsula as a bumbling fool is at odds with the fact that he got millions of dollars from the Yorks to do a job he wasn’t qualified for just by being pleasant to them. That’s awesome. Good for Jimbo.

Yeah, Jim Tomsula is cool as hell.

His press conference after the Aldon Smith release was genuinely moving.

That’s alright, he’s already plotting his revenge and Leandro Barbosa better watch out Sunday!

As someone who struggles with alcoholism, I take only one exception with what Skip is doing here:
