This is exciting news. I always thought Runaways would be a perfect choice for a superhero TV show.

I thought the same thing, which is disappointing but not a surprise. The other casting seems pretty promising, though if we're nitpicking Molly looks too close in age to the others.

Congratulations, it's well deserved!

The other other half: staying away from drugs and downed power lines.

Found Selina's Big Score for cheap at a local bookstore last weekend! I'm about halfway through it now, and it's fantastic. Darwyn Cooke's hard-boiled dialogue can get a lot cheesier than I remembered, but art and story are ridiculously good.

When a planet has giant mountains for devil horns, you know it's evil!

Maybe in the sequel, they can join forces against Ming the Merciless.

Ha, I like that way better.

Congrats Cap'n! Have fun!

I got curious and just googled "Peter Danielson's The Promised Land". I love that it's (a) the twelfth in its series, and (b) the "glorious saga of an unforgettable epoch reaching its fiery climax". If that tagline and the cover are any indicator, that must be some industrial strength pulp.

Good lord. I was pretty disappointed when I was too busy to visit the site last Friday. Then on Saturday I saw the article title and number of comments, and I just backed away slowly.

That's good to know. I was really surprised by the improvement between the 1st and 2nd trades.

Been catching up on a few things from the last 2 weeks:

Well, no wonder she failed! If Dany had bonded with her new subjects over their shared love of gratuitous nudity, things could have gone very differently.

As someone who's never read the books, I'm genuinely surprised that we didn't spend at least half a season with that city.

Varys has to be bottling up some serious stuff. Wouldn't surprise me if he decapitates someone with a gangplank on his way back to Westeros.

My first thought was that Varys looks constipated.

I'm surprised by the pile of work I should be doing while I'm sitting here talking about this. Well, more "frightened" than "surprised", but still.

He was (sort of) on the cover of a recent issue of Black Widow, but that might be it for a long while.

Crazy Steranko-like art is always something the world could use more of.
