I remember very little about this show, except that "Children's Zoo", creeped the hell out of me as a kid. That one was thoroughly burned into my brain.

Sounds fun. I'm in!
You're probably right, though I do like that she doesn't want her parents to know she reads Saga.
..Or at least it will be after November, God willing.
I went back through the last couple of weeks when getting that link, and (having not read any newspaper strips in several years) it was surprisingly good. And big kudos to the writer for spreading the good word about "Saga" and "Afterlife with Archie", of all things.
That is… weirdly impressive.
I was hoping it was a hat for turtles, at least that would be more original.
Caveman Games!!! All they have to do is release some predators onto the field during the track and field events.
Basewars!
Yeah, but they were foreigners, so it evens out.
I know it was the 80s, but whenever I see that baby-blue jumpsuit with the giant collar and the yellow fringe, the Bee gees just automatically start playing in the back of my head.
Fair point. Ridiculous looking, but functional as hell.
Poor Nightwing. When he designed that costume, he was so sure that disco would never die. (It was still less ugly than that weird getup Azrael was using by the end, but we can chalk that up to mental illness.)
I always thought that religion could offer some really interesting unexplored territory for superhero comics, but I think that can be a really hard thing to do well. Maybe it's for the best that they tend to leave it alone, considering that most of the superhero stories I can think of that deal with the hero's…
Yeah, that was a poor choice of words :)
I bought a copy of the complete Steranko SHIELD a few months ago, and the art is amazing but I haven't really gotten into it yet. I'm looking forward to it, but first I got a month of Marvel Unlimited, so things I actually own have been put on the back burner for a while.
Crisis can be kind of a slog at points, but it's pretty fun overall, and probably extra-worthwhile in your case, considering how much pre-Crisis DC you've read.
Just went to 1o9, and the first review I found described the show as "a crime against Marvel fans." Skimming through the actual review, it sounds pretty terrible.
Agent Synergy Hasitslimits!
Same here. Shield, to be fair, did improve pretty drastically near the end, but even so I mostly like it because Agent Judas McBackstab inspired my all-time favorite meme.
