Is the newer Avengers cartoon not good then? I really liked the previous one, but haven't gotten around to the post-movie version.

There has to be a limit to all this, and it's hard to imagine that it's not coming up fast, but I really want Guardians to do well. This is them thinking at least partially outside the box and trying to do branch out a little. I think only good things can come from that paying off.
Never make fun of synergy, Lemon.
Sharknado had a writer?
Yeah, there are some obvious exceptions, but I would argue that good art is more likely to overcome bad writing than good writing and bad art.
True. In fact, Planetary is the reason why I often refer to Apokolips as "Earth Toilet-on-fire".
Based on this review, I went back to the store Friday after work and got a copy. It's as good as Oliver said.
Ha, I did consider that. Maybe for Christmas…
And we've come so far since then: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down!
Holy crap, you're right!
That was really stupid that they redrew him like that. On the other hand, I'd never noticed before that Don Rickles face already looks like a Kirby drawing, so you learn something new every day.
That's some good stuff. Planetary and New Gods are two of my all-time favorites, and I just recently started on the Miller Daredevil books, which are amazing. How are the Parker books?
Yeah, pretty much. Forever People was a chore (stupid space hippies), but a few parts of Jimmy Olson actually did win me over just on pure crazy points. Even for Kirby, that was weird.
Same here. As long as it all looks like this, though, JH Williams can take all the time he needs.
I got Daredevil, Wonder Woman, and a crapload of on-sale Batman from Comixology, but have not had time to read any of those. (should make for a really good weekend, though.) I also will have to go back and find a copy of Ragnarok, because it looks amazing.
O collective wisdom: Are there any manga fans in the house? I need a birthday present for a 14-year-old relative who recently discovered it, and I'm told she likes "Death Note 2 on up, Soul Eater and Ouran high school," but I know basically nothing about manga. Any suggestions?
I loved Heroquest, and Battle Masters. This probably would have blown my mind in 1993.
For the record, Oliver, (and speaking only for myself) I haven't been making up names for Agent Twist McHydra because I hate him, exactly. Until last week, he was just a big dumb Slab Crunchfist and I honestly didn't have much opinion of him one way or the other.
From what I can tell in the trailer, didn't they sent Wolverine back because the 1960s Xavier would recognize him? Kitty wouldn't have been born yet. (Not that they couldn't have used Kitty if they really wanted to: her character was pretty thoroughly wasted in Last Stand, and I doubt if this movie will treat her…
