My tastes run towards the Silver Age end of the spectrum, which is why I really, really love Astro City. (that's also why you just sold me on Cap No More with "Ronald Reagan turns into a frog.")

(Sorry, I replied to this a few days ago, and just noticed my comment never posted. Stupid Disqus.)
Maybe they would be more inclined to include him if we tell Fox that his speech sounds like farting noises?
That is true - shorter and more self-contained stuff like this is a good idea.
One of the few times I bothered to translate the Doop-speak:
Yeah, I can't explain it, but there's something about Allred's style that rubs me the wrong way.
I bailed on the Simpsons circa 2001, like pretty much everyone else, but have recently gotten back into the habit of watching it on hulu. It's a pale shadow of its former glory, but every so often it has its moments. And it is weirdly comforting that it lives on, however mediocre it's become.
I was just recently wondering about this: They just "retired" Mrs. Krabappel after the death of Marcia Wallace (and I applaud them for it, by the way). But after doing that out of respect for her (not to mention Phil Hartmann, way back when), how could they possibly NOT do the same for one of the main actors if/when…

My only semi-complaint was that the part with the Four felt a little rushed, at least in contrast to the huge showdown I originally was expecting. But that does not at all justify most of the complaints I've seen about a disappointing…
How so?
Oh man, it's *that* story? I'd forgotten all about that.
Yeah, I like the Marvel movies (and Marvel in general) as much as anyone, but there's a pretty good chance those quotes will be hilarious in about 5 years. That is some truly impressive hubris.
He won't even cast Invisible Woman. Every now and then, the other three will just look at empty space and say "hi, Sue."

They'll hit the end of the road just as I'm turning 50. Lovely.
Touche.
It's pretty amazing. I'm a couple weeks behind because I'm watching on hulu, but Arrow recently did a Suicide Squad episode. It had a cameo that almost made me weep for joy.
If Marvel/Disney had the rights to all those characters, this list would probably extend to somewhere in the 23rd Century.
Why doesn't Cyclops own a bear? That he's been in thousands of comics and nobody thought to give him a bear is a damn tragedy.
