I remember when my Commodore was in the shop (some silly prick had run into the back of it at a traffic light) and the loaner was a Corolla. First automatic I’d ever driven.

I feel like an $8,000 January 2022 is like a $5,000 September 2019 car, and if you look at it like that I’m pretty sure you’re gonna have more than $5,000 worth of fun with this thing.

Hmm... I can’t imagine it’d be too hard to find an old transfer case/gearbox, a front axle and some trim pieces and slap yourself together a running 4WD drivetrain on a rust-free body? 170k miles shouldn’t be an issue for an old tractor engine like this one, NP in January 2022

I don’t like the interruption of it waiting for 5 seconds or so, especially considering it’s such a stupid oversight - particularly if you’re listening to a podcast or something and it’s interrupted mid sentence you lose track of whatever was being said.
