@rick23: I promote the messages by you and triangleman. Well spoken!

Sorry, but there is no excuse for destroying other peoples propperty. You condone that, you are not my friend!

40,000 people die in car traffic accidents in the US allone, every year.

@adamthiede: The rockets fired by said planes and fired by ships and even fired out of nuclear silos are also unmanned. They have been unmanned for decades... What is the difference?

@Eric Cartman: Unfortunately way to many people "learn" way to much from Hollywood. It is amazing how much history is bent by whatever this place spits out.

@Alex Devlin: Most technology is not built and sold by countries, but by companies residing in said countries. Concerns like these did not stop Hitler from having his trucks built by Ford in the US for quite a while before the US entered the war.

@Hvedhrungr: Totally ignorant of the reality of todays weapons systems. Newsflash: They are already highly dependent on electronics and information from remote locations (e.g. GPS systems, radar topology information, guided missiles, smartbombs, etc, etc) and all these can already, to some extend be jammed and

@sob157: Actually many current UAVs are cheaper than equivalent piloted planes already. So I think that they will be cheaper in the end.

@LTMP: The weapons fired by todays manned fighter planes (e.g. guided missiles, smart bombs, etc) would be just as susceptible to this sort of jamming already. So what difference does it really make?

@yah5: There has never been honor in war, not any war that I know off. Definitely not WW2, on neither side!

@DustyButt: Plus, all of the weapons that you guys deploy are already autonomous or remote controlled anyway (guided missiles, smart bombs, etc). So what difference does it make if you extend that to the plane that fires them?

@Keav: And the US never bombed any urban centers in wars?

@dvb1: Yeah, but in the end (not in the beginning maybe) unmanned drones will be cheaper to produce and operate. This will allow the US to have more drones in the air than the enemy has fighter planes. Mass versus class.
