I wish anybody other than him were saying this. One lacks credibility criticizing politicized comedy when they couldn’t even produce amusing comedy.

Probably this:

I think what we lose sight of is that while actors like Felicity Huffman may be very talented, and may come across as very charming and personable in interviews and such, she may also be dumb as a post, and fearful for the prospects of her equally dumb as a post children.

I’m a bigger fan of his psychedelic cousin, Dr. Shroom.  Why doesn’t Marvel make a movie out of that?

How in the world is that signature supposed to resemble “Donald Trump”? Is his real name actually “Innnnnh”?

Bonus track:

Just maybe hire a different director next time?”

Thorny, yes. Gross? I still don’t really comprehend that through the range of interpretations. Particularly given that within the Kinja-sphere, the general consensus seems to be that an asshole is the absolute worst fucking thing you could ever possibly be. It’s the highly communicable disease that can only be cured

That’s a feasible take; I don’t know how it’s “gross” though. Ultimately, it would probably be best if we didn’t have to imagine the conclusions of the writing staff. It’s one thing to be too lazy to polish your copy for spelling/grammatical mistakes; it’s another to not even bother to explain your critical positions.

Curing people is eugenics now?

The context would be that it was said on Bubba the Love Sponge’s radio program, and therefore would probably be categorized by him as irreverent satire.  It’s not like he was some unknown in this timeframe; he had been the co-host of Crossfire already.  Why didn’t anybody seem to notice or care he’d said these things

The crowd looks so stiff and scared, like Erich Von Stroheim is standing off camera screaming through a megaphone, “DANCE YOU FOOLS! DANCE! THIS IS FUN!!! HAVE MORE FUN!!!!!”

Yeah, but I don’t agree with this, because lies don’t undermine the truth. Zealotry does. Insisting that ones team owns the monopoly on virtue does. People of all stripes and background and races and socioeconomic statuses lie. Victims should never be “believed” by default; they should be treated respectfully and

Look, why don’t you just have this conversation with your straw man and leave me out of it, okay?

The first time he didn’t get caught. Let’s be real; unless he is clinically insane, in which case I don’t know if prison is the right place for him, do you really think he’d try to pull something like this again? Do you really think that if at the end of all this he managed to avoid prison, his takeaway would be,

Who was falsely accused?  Name this person.

I said “go to jail,” you’re saying “face legal consequences.” These are not equivalent positions. I’m just not as cavalier about putting people in jail. I’m not big on ‘making examples’ and zero tolerance displays. America is #1..... in incarceration rates!!! WOO HOO!!! U-S-A! U-S-A! To address the conclusion you
