My greatest Pokemon victory came in 1998, when I realized I wasn’t interested in it, and saved myself from a life of cutesy tedium.

And, congratulations?
Nice! I’m not very familiar with the geography of southern California, so I had to head to google maps for the cities that were name dropped in episode one - doing so allowed me to connect the sex addicted Caspere with the “club circuit” that the missing girl was involved with, before even seeing episode 2. That layer…
If we’re talking about viewers who didn’t see season 1 - fine, I believe they could find it boring - but from what I’ve read, critics who were fans of the first season (and who claim to find it boring) were expecting more of the same (whether or not they consciously know it), and the fact that season 2 sees Pizzolatto…
Interesting that poor color reproduction on 60 year old printing presses and cameras would end up inspiring designers. We could call it the “old home movie palette,” the “magazine ad palette,” or even the “crying Indian Native American palette,” or “folgers palette” while we’re at it.
I’ve had a couple of preview enrolled friends send me invites multiple times over the past few months, and Microsoft hasn’t approved me. Looking at my friends’ stats, I imagine there are conditions I don’t meet, such as a higher average monthly playtime, gamerscore, or a larger game collection - Microsoft is looking…
This time, they’ve reconceptualized what “speed” means in relevance to the game mechanics - your faceless, voiceless male avatar is addicted to speed, and if the level of amphetamines in his bloodstream drops below a certain level, he “just don’t race good.” You first have to sell your personal belongings, and…
Is there an option in the menus to adjust the volume of the music, voices, and sfx? I for one don’t enjoy the music (the city themes in particular), and my purchase will hinge on the ability to mute it.
Why anyone thought the city music needed to be so grating and energetic as opposed to calm and nonintrusive is beyond me. I really dislike this soundtrack. Please, tell me if there’s a mute music option in the menu.
I don’t think it’s an issue of lacking creativity, or subtlety (though subtlety is rare in garish superhero comics to begin with). Abusive relationships exist. Nothing wrong with portraying one.
Granted, it is much more difficult for independent developers to find success on a mobile platform, even if they possess the talent and the drive to do so, but this article is written in reference to Nintendo, whom I believe will be very successful for the reasons I’ve stated. This also brings a relevant point to mind…
For established companies, or companies with bona fide groundbreaking hits, that’s exactly how it works. If a game is good enough, the user base (everyone with a phone) is beyond large enough to support a developer. As with any emerging market, the ability to recognize potential avenues of success and adapt your…
If the mobile market functioned in the same way as the already established market, that would be true, but in-game advertisements, micro transactions, and lump sum payments from retailers (in this case Google, Apple, or Microsoft), allow developers to charge consumers less for mobile games while still covering the…
3DS digital games cost the same price as physical games because Nintendo would face massive lawsuits if they undermined retailers by reneging their sales agreements. It’s the same story for all digital downloads, regardless of retailer or production company. Your argument operates more on personal feeling than it does…
Not so. Advertisement, distribution, physical production, and significant retailer markups are figured into DS game prices - eliminate all of that and price shrinks significantly. App stores will welcome Nintendo as incentive to expand their user base, and little advertisement will be required on Nintendo’s part.…
