The base Model 3 will not have a premium interior as standard. That is why every model 3 so far has had ‘premium’ interior listed. So the $35K version of the model 3 would not have as nice of an interior (unless it is an upgrade option). So it is not accurate to say that the $35K version costs $38K to make.
