@halopower67: Which is why people are starting to talk about a possible Chinese embargo on the export of rare earth metals to the US... and obviously, we don't make it here because it's cheaper to buy it shipped from China like so many other things.

@animeman59: Now, if the embargo is real, the increased prices justify domestic extraction... but when you undercut your competition dramatically for any prolonged period, like China did, they disappear.

@drewkkake: Your final qualification withstanding, how much greater leniency do you think staff might receive compared to consumers?

@MifuneT: And T-Mobile required the package be signed for, though I understand a lot of drivers will occasionally leave items with that flag when they aren't supposed to.

@Dogen: I don't know why I hadn't hearted you sooner....

@Zaranell: name a couple games where the combat system is fun at level 1? Even, in the first 5-10 levels... then filter out all the non-mmos...

I might just be a killjoy, but... The most interesting thing I'm taking away from this thread, is that besides graviton's discussion, I don't think we read the same article...

@PartTimeRecluse: MS certainly didn't rebuild the temple with this one, but I dare say, if Win 7 hasn't converted people I don't think ie9 on xp would do very much....

@magiczero: I'm just sad that instant action hasn't put legions back up, and playtribes is still on hold... don't have etqw to play the tribalwars mod, but yes, we need a true successor to the tribes series...

@dragon:ONE: Oh, I was going to ask if you were using xp, since I know the default behavior for mtp devices was changed in 7, but I know for the two or three series of walkmen we had that I used in xp, they offered some kind of drag and drop utility as a download.

@data_enabler: I'm not sure I'd call it conflicting art styles, the models of players and objects are styled differently from the environment but as far as I can tell both of those are consistent, and I think that in itself is more common now in fps games.

@dragon:ONE: Is this something that changed with launch of the newer players a year or so ago?

@W10002: Actually I'm not sure it says anything about ATI, the only obvious thing is the inability of your friend's to correctly configure and troubleshoot a computer.

@ddhboy: Actually, I would think with an FM chip in your gadgets you could record the radio, they way people did years ago... which is the very kind of fair-use situation the RIAA would have us believe was always insidious piracy....

@aec007: I'm gonnna go out on a limb and assume that the FM radio is a little more efficient than using your 3g or 4g radio to stream broadcasts... since it's passive reception vs an active connection... but then there's always those stations that don't have streams.

@Heturi: I see how they could reuse a lot of textures, but there's plenty data they change when adding game modes to existing maps.

@sid9221: technically the fibers that modern US dollars are made from today aren't really paper.

@Mark 2000: You consider trains high technology? Those vehicles we've been using since the early 1800's?

@marc_wtih_a_c: Maybe the average consumer a total fool who suffers a serious phobia of any and all technical details. But, they can surely read.
