Sounds like Sega Power Drift! Other arcade driving games had more realistic controls (like Sega's Ferrari F355 simulator), but this one tilted in the curves and bumps.

@al_ngl: As I wrote elsewhere if you think that the pollution from the production of 200 pounds of recyclable batteries is remotely equivalent to the pollution from the tens of thousands of pounds of gasoline a car consumes over its lifetime, you're deluded. And there's nickel in the steel and chrome of your Mustang.

@rebeldevil: Answer these two questions. a) What are the likely result of mankind dramatically and rapidly increasing levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere? b) What's the most likely cause of the warming we've already experienced?

@MaWeiTao: Environmentalism == thinking and caring about the environment. When you understand how degraded it's become due primarily to the effects of 7 billion people, what then?

@logruszed: This pattern is more recurring and more easily predictable than any theory on climate change

@stoke: many studies suggest they produce more carbon over a lifetime than many conventional vehicles

@BlueBomb: OK so where do the other 80% of greenhouse gases come from?

@lilwillie: Fortunately the FACT that most pollution occurs during the operation of the vehicle, not its production or disposal, cuts both ways: it's both the reason a better MPG car is in general better for the environment, and it's why your overall MPG and miles driven matters more than how many cars you own.

@RandomArt: Ships pollute like crazy (they burn gunk and have no catalytic converter or emissions control). Nasty for people who live near a busy port. But they're a small % of greenhouse gases compared with cars.

@NiceNurseRatched: People who naively expect the nifty car feature "You never have to fill it with gas for short commutes!" to magically pay for itself can go way to the back of the line, behind all the people who value that feature for other reasons.

@Unsilent Minority: Driving on electricity from batteries is so much more efficient overall than burning gasoline to make heat and a little forward motion that emissions still go down with current USA electricity mix.

Again Matte "Gold" Hardigree posts a gold car story. Coincidence?

The more I see it, the more the SLS AMG looks like a bad aftermarket body + gullwing doors kit for the Honda S2000.

@skaycog: Awww. There's always the AWESOM-O 4000. "I will be your new best friend."

@nataku8_e30: Thanks for the reply. I'm not ignorant of traction vs weight, and as you explain extra weight doesn't help or hurt.

@that ain't the way to have fun, son: Right you are. The Sorento, Tucson and utterly revolting 5 GT are still tall fat ugly cars, I bet every one is way of 4000 lbs. "Compact SUV" should mean something the size of the Honda Civic Shuttle or Civic R/T Wagon

@Ray Wert: bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah? A 13 year-old edits C&D?

Subaru Impreza with engine HP of choice is the no-brainer answer.
