The other sacrilege besides a digital speedo that appears in an undisclosed location is Ferrari have removed the accelerator pedal in favor of a tiny dial in the left pod for "SPEED", see picture #10. (Actually cruise control?)

@James Marino: But that left pod has no display at all, so it must be just the controls for the speedo. (What controls? km/miles switch?) Presumably the digital speedometer displays in the dash somewhere.

@hillstrubl: What's with this myth that nickel, a component of schteel and chrome, suddenly becomes toxic enemy #1 when put in a battery?

Mock, but the existing 520D with EfficientDynamics might get 45+ MPG on the EPA cycle. Perhaps BMW USA is scared of an ultimate driving machine with only a 177 HP 4-cylinder.

@r0ver: Arbeit macht frei > Kraft durch Freude > JOY defines the future

Dude! Radical couldn't be more 1990 unless they came out with an SR8LM Xtreme model. Totally.

@Deartháir II: The Return: Touargggh is a mid-size SUV. Despite no third row, it weighs 5,000 pounds and gets an awful 14/20 MPG, so with it's so-so reliability you'd be pretty crazy to buy it over a cheaper Highlander Hybrid. Supposedly the 2010 Touretteg is lighter and has a third row.

@Joshman Pouhon: It is my opinion that the impact of manufacturing new cars and new hybrids is much, much worse

@Leeeeena a Jalopchick: Please join me at Gawker Cotomer Sevis to bitch about Jalopnik cropping thumbnails!

@bzr, @alexander-the-car: Please join me at Gawker cotomer sevis to bitch about how Jalopnik crops its image thumbnails instead of preserving aspect ratio!

@rebeldevil: What planet do you live on? This recession did not turn into a depression because of government actions. "rebound on their own" in a decade or so (or until WWIII gooses the economy) was not a reasonable response.

@Northernsky: Beyond awesome... with HyperTurbo and Madness. The City makes the 84 Civic from the same era look gigantic, it's 17 inches shorter than that 12.5-foot long car.

@skierpage: Damn you, broken Gawker image thumbnailing algorithm! Here's another. Two-tone gray and silver, chunky alloys.

@phor11: since you're tapping renewable energy, the efficiency doesn't matter.

@skierpage: Gawker's bogus broken image thumbnailing algorithm FTL :-(

@usa1: Yes! Kille the grille! 1994 Acura Integra FTW!

@philibuster: My lesbian buddies shaved the hair and traded in their butch Isuzu Trooper under CARS for a Highlander Hybrid; apart from stained carpets and a door ding (both presumably from the dealer) they've had no problems so far. Consumer Reports' owner data shows Highlander Hybrid has better or much better than
