Hydrogen combustion! — the non-existence of hydrogen infrastructure combined with the inefficiency of burning fuel to move a vehicle, without the regenerative braking and engine shut-off of an electric powertrain.

@Smitty: Who needs a super economy four door four seat sedan? I mean, have you EVER seen a Prius with more than two people riding in it? I didn't thinks so. Give me a roadster, or small Ute that gets 50mpg...

Please tell us the drag coefficent (Cd) and drag area!

Since it seems like Lotus will whore a chassis to anyone who asks, just follow Drew's recipe to fill it with batteries and motors. Slap on the P*ssy magnet paint and ELECTRIC! decals, and collect your bailout $billions!

@Kelly: I'm kinda curious, though not enough to look it up, what the McLaren F1 did on the 'Ring.

Don't blame Toyota for not advancing, blame other car companies for failing to compete.

They didn't ask me. I want a thoughtful, car that loves to run. Original Audi quattro!

As I commented in the "Chevy Dealer Dominoes Keep Falling: Alameda's Good Chevrolet Closes Without Warning" post and ROCKYLIFE enthusiastically agreed, USA-style dealers NEED TO DIE.

The NuVu's "Mr. Garrison" controls could make a baby with the Renault Ondelios.

Volage? Voltage.

I GUARANTEE this is how it will play out:

@Ash78: I already rent trucks for furniture and rent SUVs to go skiing in large groups, I'll just rent a hybrid or E_REV car to go on long trips. And suburban families already have a bunch of cars, one can be electric-only.

@newbski: If I start plugging my car into my house electric then more coal plants will work harder to charge my car, more carbon.

They could have brought a 1997 Toyota RAV4 EV to Paris, put Kia badges on it, and it would look better and be more of a breakthrough.

Cabin layout places the regular passenger seat beside but largely behind the driver's seat

@DoctorNine: But when you're doing the electric-only zero-emission driving in residential areas, for instance, you massively reduce the wear and tear on the gasoline engine and brakes.

I don't understand American-style dealerships. All the financing to put acres of shiny metal at thousands of dealerships across a huge country in case someone in the area wants one. I expect to order a car that exactly matches my needs and receive it weeks later.

@jduffy13: I like the smaller countries though making these different rides.
