It's a simple idea: 6 adults in comfort. Alas for Mercedes, suburban bozos want an SUV for that. Some who don't care about image get a nice high-spec Sienna.

374g/km CO2. FULR!

Why don't they have Stop/Start technology like the Mini Cooper D and several upcoming BMWs? I'm pretty sure VW sold cars with the tech in the 80s.

@Triborough: RTFA, it clearly identifies the problems with the old slapped-together typeface. It's familiar but that doesn't make it good, look at that 'B'. The new delivers a "16 percent improvement in recognition over Highway Gothic" and that's what really matters.

I like it. Acura front, French rear, an aggressive futuristic shape somehehow reminiscent of an BMW that splits the difference between the sedan and touring M5 models. Tweak the shape of the greenhouse from the side and build it!

Dodge Dart '73 "Al Bundy" edition.

@Cliff_Dangers: You're a little harsh in the specifics. First, the Volt appears to be a four-seater, the Tesla Roadster is a two-seater about 15 inches shorter. Second, the Volt has a 1L turbocharged gasoline engine and 12 gallon gas tank. Once you add an internal combustion engine, you greatly add weight and

@danio3834, the woods were paved over thanks to excess.

I love dogs, own two mutts from the pound, am sickened by the subculture revealed by the Vick indictment, but this video just made me laugh and shake my head. @AdamSonar, don't confuse my ability to separate fact from fiction with lack of empathy.

Wal-Mart has supposedly been pushing for anti-idling technologies for their trucks since 2005. It turns out this green effort is part of an EPA settlement after they were caught leaving their trucks idling for hours, see [www.epa.gov]

@Jimboz: and replace them with "My Elise weighs less than your girlfriend" t-shirts.

GT2 will probably be great, but don't pretend a 3000+ pound car is light. The McLaren F1 weighs 2,513 pounds, 662 pounds less than this plump car and 4 lb/hp. That's svelte.

@Buckster: No, the Prius doesn't "just" serve as the butt of lame stereotyping. It gets 60/51 MPG and the best CO2 & smog pollution numbers (yes the EPA MPG is optimistic but still way more than any other car sold in the USA), while serving as generic spacious 4-door transport unlike say the Honda Insight. Hyman Decent, danio3834, and everyone else,

The front looks better than current Accord. The rear is about the same, it's got an Acura RL droop going. I'm not sure why they picked that grille design, I guess all the distinctive ones (Aston Martin, Audi, Ford razor, Subaru x 4) are taken.
